This thread is the spiritual successor to this one that I started over a year ago (it's been that long already?).
A lot more has been found by me since then, now that I've looked at things more critically.
I've looked at all known demo reels from all animators referenced in the credits, watched the bonus features of the Very Jerry Edition, read A Guide to The Sweet Life published by DK (trust me there's cut content in there), bought the barely documented press kit, emailed the director Steve Hickner himself, and more miscellaneous things here and there to compile a hypothetical parallel universe version of Bee Movie that still isn't complete.
When I say, "lost cut", I am referring to all variations of early drafts collectively that have been written before August 30th, 2007, the date the final one was finished according to Script City (there's a chance it may not be accurate, but it's the closest date we've got. Plus, lost media has been found on there before).
Due to how the Internet doesn't treat Bee Movie seriously, I do not think that 100% of the early drafts will ever be found, as Steve Hickner's email and the movie's commentary confirms there were hundreds, adding on that large chunks have been forgotten over time. However, I have set a mildly reasonable goal for this compiled cut to match the runtime of the final version: One Hour and Thirty Minutes. If we are only considering my video available below, we are about 4.9% of the way there. This goal may be shortened in the future for realistic-ness.
I will leave the thread to decide whether or not this runtime only uses scenes that are matched with proper continuity, or if it's everything.
My Bee Movie Original Cut on the Internet Archive
This thread will be updated over time to include more information, possibly including descriptions of scenes, but I am unsure of anything right now because as of me typing this, it's getting quite late.
If somebody with administrative powers sees this, please take a look at the first link shown in this post (the one labeled "this one") and lock it from getting more comments, with a notice to let users manually redirect themselves over to this one (without vandalizing information shown in that, preservation). After all, we wouldn't want anybody to think that outdated information is up to date, right?
