This is all just the nature of a site being dedicated to something as sporadic as lost media; I'm not sure anything needs to be done.
I think it's only respectful we haven't undertook the "next big search" yet out of respect for Clock Man; the chances of that thing ever being found seemed so bleak at the time that we should let that sink in, not to just be steamrolled by the next big thing.

One positive aspect of having less traffic currently of is that articles being made are quality over quantity. A couple are still added a day but alot of the new ones are really well written and have great diversity in subjects. Three of the latest is a Estonian children's show, early Beatles recordings and a play from the 1500s. Compare this to things like Albanian Spongebob when more people are here. This is a great time to purge hopeless articles and improve others
I feel the elephant in the room that no one wants to address is that when the site becomes popular it attracts alot of little kids, and this leads to quality issues and lack of diversifying from topics like Spongebob or general kids media. Then they leave.
Petition to rename the Lost Media Wiki into the random shows I remember from Treehouse TV forum

I know; this is especially bizarre considering it's the same site that houses NSFL articles.
I think of lost media as this niche thing young adults and over would be interested in, not 13-below kids.
Edit: I also want to sign that petition in your signature.
This emphasis on quality over quantity is a great start. (Keep up the great work, guys!) The variety of new articles is also something I noticed lately. The downtime makes for a great time to look at the state of the Wiki and make it better.
Proof that, as the community has already decided, we don't need a big search at the moment. I think we need to strengthen our bond as the Lost Media community before trotting off on the next big search or launching an advertising campaign.
Improving the flow of info from here to there would be a huge step in the right direction. Discord is a great place for casual chat, but I doubt we can use it as an effective tool for searches. Once we clean the place up a little, we need to put the focus back on the Wiki and forums.
I'm sure, though, that there are other ways to do stuff as a community...

Question is, though, what to do?
I agree with you entirely that the quality over quantity is one of the best aspects of this wiki and the downtime may actually have a benefit of getting more users to improve more articles to the wiki's expected standards. I feel that we shouldn't worry about the slow traffic since there is no major search effort going on at the moment because the wiki is appreciated for the high quality standards promised and the downtime can make the wiki even better than it was before by constantly updating pages in need of an update. We can also use this as a time to do something for the community that will be fun for everyone and can unite all users together regardless if they use the forums, the shoutbox or Discord for communication, but like you said, what exact activity we can do together is difficult to decide for the moment.
Despite the frustrations of normal day life we go through, the best thing to do about it is still being happy for our friends and family.

I totally agree. One positive of this situation is that many people are taking their time to make A++ quality articles. I have noticed that and that's a really great thing. I've also noticed that even though we are experiencing less articles being added there are more people editing and improving preexisting articles to bring them up to even more acceptable levels of quality. Quality over quantity is a great thing, but it still doesn't help the fact that we're currently in a dry spell when it comes to the number of articles being published.
I feel the elephant in the room that no one wants to address is that when the site becomes popular it attracts alot of little kids,
It just surprises me that there are a lot of 13-below children would even be interested in lost media in the first place. You'd think there would be at least more 16-18+ users here as the concept of lost media hunting would be more for people who are nostalgic for something in their childhood that they can't find or looking for something their favorite artist, singer, entertainer, etc had made but seemed to have gotten lost to time.
and this leads to quality issues and lack of diversifying from topics like Spongebob or general kids media. Then they leave.
That's an issue for sure. Because we have so many young children that visit the site and make articles that relate to them more as they're still in the age range where they've only seen kids shows and nothing more. As for the quality issue these kids don't follow the rules and guidelines and published half-baked articles that most of the time ends up getting deleted. That's when they either leave or they might stick around for awhile longer then once they find out that there isn't enough things on the site that they can relate to they just dropout of the community as a whole.
Honestly, I don't think kids are that big of an issue. There is definitely a lot more people here and even though we've been having a rather slow couple of months we still have been getting more quality and diverse articles published and there are still a lot of people who are very active in this community. We should take this downtime as an opportunity to think about something fun that could unite the community and spark more Interest into LMW and the lost media community as a whole.
I don't know about everyone else but there has been multiple reasons why I don't use the wiki much any more 1. time: I lack it 2. interest: I've lost most of it. This applies to everything in general. 3. stuff to write about: Most of the time I write about very specific things. Most of these have articles. 4. I am not very good at writing articles
I rise from the ashes. Only to fall back in again.

Something that I hope users do when writing an article is to not choose a topic just so they can have an article to write but to selectively choose a topic based on how interesting it is. I think it would be better if people focused more on things like lost BBC and old English poems series than things like original audio from some small production or a channel with a few let's play videos.
(Also, thanks for listing my article. It makes me feel proud)

The problem with that suggestion is that everyone (including myself) has different perceptions on what article is "interesting" to write about/deserving of an article. I mean, I would never write about stuff that doesn't actually interest me because I would consider them boring to write and just making an article for the sake of greater diversity isn't fun. There's a reason why I don't want to write about NSFL/NSFW content because it's simply not my cup of tea and I don't like to write about disturbing/pornographic topics.
The main reason why I even write articles in the first place is if they actually interested me in writing one about them and not about what is considered to be one of the most sought after pieces of lost media that doesn't yet have an article (not counting stuff that is considered "too recent" for an article). Sure, I will admit that all of the six articles I have written about so far doesn't have strong materials to have a search effort started for them as the subjects I write about will only appeal to fans of the source material or people interested in unreleased video games, but I believe that they at least deserve to be documented and have an article if they are eligible for one. I honestly think my habits of writing articles on lost Disney and other stuff related to animation and video games are not going to change anytime soon.
Bottom line is that while it's great to see more diversity in article types, but I believe the wiki should not be filled with too much of them to the point that's a turn-off. People should be able to decide what articles they want to write about (and also check out the Article Requests page for ideas on articles to write about) and the articles they write about should meet the wiki's high quality standards and are clearly eligible for writing an article on.

I kinda wish there was a way to comment on notice board posts... that Ring-Along Sing-Along tape is so cringy.
1. This isn't related to the subject of the thread 2. That's something you should consult the staff about
3. You should take the stick out of your ass.
The notice board was mentioned in this thread, and they were just talking about how to get more people excited about this site, so I thought it would be nice to be able to leave feedback on something like that.
