Tapesignal, I browsed through this whole long thread with bits and pieces, too much for me to read right now so I joined the topic in progress. I am still very new to the community but have studied Christine’s story for a very long time in my own personal way. I wouldn’t claim to know more though, I have only done my own rooting around, I am not the type who contacts anyone close to the event.
Yeah, I wouldn’t contact him either like I said. He’s not going to budge, that is the impression I got in some interview I saw him do, it might’ve been that segment of the WXLT (whatever they are called now) when they had some anniversary show. The segment touched on Christine’s story but also glossed through it relatively fast in my opinion.
I disagree with Newman too and already stated my thoughts about that earlier.
You have something on the cautionary tale aspect. People with those dark thoughts of self harm usually don’t reach out for help for whatever reasons. I can’t say I would know their reasons. My own personal experience I had whopper depression as a teenager and had dark thoughts of my own but somehow had willpower to never act on them. I can’t personally claim I know what Christine was going through just share that I had and often still do have bouts. Everyone with depression have it to differing degrees so some cases aren’t the same. It would be good to use Christine’s story and others to teach the uninformed that depression is a serious matter and more who suffer from it can be saved if more on the outside can understand better and those who suffer depression are given more overt means of significant help.

I also want to say that I hope I didn't sound rude or like I was saying you should have read through the thread or anything like that. I just re-read my post and realized it might have come off that way so I apologize if so; it wasn't intended that way. I guess I'm also relatively new to the talk surrounding Chris, as I only began to get really interested in it about a year and a half ago.
