That reminds me of another Cartoon Network cartoon, "Uncle Grandpa"
I briefly saw an episode and I couldn't even finish watching one episode. I hated the main character's voice and the whole thing about the live-action tiger character I found silly. Like weird for the sake of trying to look cool.
Same here, I couldn't get into Adventure Time and Flapjack for the same reason. In general way too many 2010s animated shows did that whole "weird-for-the-sake-of-being-weird" trend and that played a big part in me watching more live-action stuff on Disney and Nick back then as a result.
Oh, man! I forgot about Flapjack. I really wasn't a fan of the style. The worst part is when Flapjack comes across a cat with a weird and creepy style and kept acting like it was the cutest thing in the world.
A furry with eclectic tastes who loves the 80s and 90s. Mostly 1984-1992.

Huh, I thought I was weird for not liking Adventure Time. I guess the humor just wasn't for me. Also the lore was all over the place for a quirky show. To be fair I was into low-brow cartoons like MAD and Regular Show during that era so maybe my taste buds are broken.

Adventure Time is just... bad in the later seasons. They have a guy wearing someone's corpse like a suit but still have characters going "ERM WHAT THE HECKIN' FLIP?"

Nope it's not just you, honestly i've always been baffled by how much praise that shows gets, it just never did it for me.

Adventure Time is one I didn't "get" at all when it aired and it's still not for everyone, but I DID give it another look a few years back (after I saw an interview with the original creator) and quite enjoyed it. Haven't finished the show yet, but I do plan to.
Still a little too random for my taste and I still don't care for the art, but I liked it a LOT better than when I first saw it in 2010.
I haven't been able to get into the Metroid games, possibly due to their very non-linear nature, somewhat repetitive elements, poor aim/reflexes, and my atrocious memory skills. As a working adult with other responsibilities, I also just don't have much time to "wander around/lollygag" in games anymore, and so I don't have hours to just "get lost" and "just savor the environment" the way others do. Which makes the games less enjoyable by default. In terms of Nintendo, I definitely prefer the Zelda games.
</div>For those types of games I use strategy guides because I don't feel like banging my head against a wall for several hours trying to figure something out, I don't have the patience or time for it.
Been rewatching Mighty Morphin Power Rangers for the first time in over 15 years and I really liked the first season. It's goofy, cheesy, sincere fun. I just started the second season and this season...kind of sucks? I just don't care for these "Lord Zedd" episodes, I prefer Rita as a villain. I guess time will tell, and I'm not sure what the general consensus on season 2 is, but I don't care for it so far.
