Haha, you'll annoy a bunch of people by starting another Spongebob thread. Oh well, it's not entirely our fault that it's lost. I'll keep watching this in case anything turns up.
My message to the people that dislike the lost SpongeBob things is to just ignore them. Like what, will there be a ban on lost SB things because there are "too many"?
Anyway, I actually saw the original thread back when it was posted, and it's even more interesting now that one of these "I have it" claims hasn't seen fruition. Sorta reminds me of McDonaldLand Loch.
If he was trying to troll, it's interesting that he hasn't followed up on it.
And if he actually has it, there's no reason why he couldn't have posted it or at least inquired about how to post it.
Too bad this was 4chan and not some kind of site where we could contact him.
@radiant Lloyd Firefly (quoting doesn't work for me, sorry).
I don't think he's trolling. I think he hasn't released it yet because he probably knows about how Viacom acts when it comes to Spongebob videos on Youtube, so he wants to be careful with uploading it. If he is trolling or if he never uploads it to another video site, all we can do then is wait for someone else to come forward.
Too bad there is no way to contact that user, if there was I would suggest ZippCast to him as a viable alternative for sharing the short.
Couldn't he just uploaded it to YouTube and make it unlisted, but spread the link on sites like this?
I accused him of being a troll because it sounded like he has it, knows what it is, knows people want it, but won't elaborate any further on getting it up.
If he doesn't know how to convert it, he could have asked. The fact that he never followed up or had any intentions of following up leads me to believe he's faking, because the thread would have continued otherwise.
If that (supposedly) came before a Jimmy Neutron episode, my only guess that the episode would be Operation: Jet Fusion because it aired in late 2003 and is 45 minutes long. My guess is that it was used to fill out the hour timeslot. Or maybe this short was divided into parts?
That could probably be the case. I didn't find anything about a short being aired during the episode, though. But since this short's existence was only recently discovered, I didn't expect anything about it.
Were there any other 45 minute special episodes of Jimmy Neutron that aired during season 1 or the first part of season 2 so we can narrow down the choices?
How often were these specials aired? If they were only aired a few times, we could see exactly when The Spongetrix would have aired. What was that website that used to stream Nick programming from years ago? Was it Nick Repeat? I don't know how it worked, but the creator of the site might be able to help us.

From what we know so far, the short aired only once. It's also worth pointing out that NReboot doesn't air the commercials that come with the episodes they're streaming, just the show itself, so it's unlikely they have access to the short. What's even worse is that NReboot doesn't point out any single people on their "credits" page, so it's near impossible figure out who to contact. They do have a website email, though, so I sent a message asking about the short, and I'm waiting to get a reply back.
Though this is something that would pop up on myspleen and other similar vhs restoring sites, we need to find the air date but there's only things 2004 no 2003 on my spleen

Let me look I'll tell you what they all got. Ik there's not much but more are getting uploaded, and some get taken down for "small releases" the community, is odd.
They have rocken nicktoons moments from 2008 and 2009, 2004(3 of them), 2009, and the film festival from 2008.

It doesn't seem likely to be any of the 2008 or 2009 ones, try seeing the 2004 ones. We know that the short came out sometime during or before 2003 due to a Nicktoons bumper from that year, so 2004 seems the most likely.
1 of them I know doesn't have it, it's only like a 1:30 min tape and it has screen shots but I'll check them out.

I thihk the stills were made by whoever made this. www.youtube.com/watch?v=NR1qvrwYt2A I don't remember the computer animated cartoons and the fact these unrealistic Spongebob stills come on during those areas is a bit strange.
I was talking to someone who knows the creator of NReboot last year and he said that [the creator] was pretty busy and couldn't get around to finding time to answer some questions I had with what I was researching at the time.
Since she didn't respond yet to this, I'm guessing she probably won't and is still "busy" or whatever. You could try another email but I would be surprised if you ever get a response.
