According to that wiki, it is in fact just a tech demo, like I suspected, but was released as a game for some reason anyways - hence why you can only drive one car and there is only one really long track.
Anyways, I'm really glad to have found it - I was starting to lose hope! I hope this is your game too .
If Micky Mouse Monopoly is indeed the documentary in question, I did find the distributor (I say "found," but really they're named at the end of the YouTube clip broncosman posted), named the Media Education Foundation, or MEF. And they do have all documentary films they have produced/acquired for distribution for sale, but only to educational institutions like schools. And in any case, even if the general public could purchase any of the films, they cost several hundred dollars just for a DVD copy, so are definitely way overpriced and not easily obtainable. However, this means that there's a chance that there are at least a few schools, museums, library, or some other place of education somewhere might have a copy that could be asked about.
There's no need to buy it, the full doc is available if you just search it up on youtube . I just posted that short clip instead because it has the parts she mentioned.
The price they're charging for it is ridiculous tho, it's not some groundbreaking doc, really not worth that much haha. They're really ripping off schools and libraries -_- .
It honestly sounds like a Lifetime movie. Are you sure the girls accusations are false? I know in Liar,Liar the girl is told she's lying but it turns out to be true.
It's definitely not Liar Liar - that was one of the first results I got when trying to google around for this movie, and it's not even close. This guy is portrayed as innocent and clueless - not some molester scumbag.
The girl doesn't make the accusation - the mother does. It is some kind of drama tho, like a Lifetime movie. And like I said in the previous post, the girls' odd behaviour and comment("I know what this is for") suggests that maybe someone else did actually molest her IDK.
I'm sorry for responding without seeing the movie, but this reminds me of someone's description of a Leonard Nimoy directed movie called The Good Mother. I'm sorry if this is way off. Usually I get really frustrated when people will give baseless replies about something they haven't even seen in the unidentified media threads, like they will say something might be it when they obviously didn't watch what they are saying it might be, so I'm a complete hypocrite for saying it might be this movie without watching it, but I remember hearing someone describe this movie (I think in a discussion on movies Leonard Nimoy directed) and the description was so similar to what you said I didn't want to not bring it up if it's the right thing.
Wow, this is very close! The little girl looks almost identical to how I remember her from the movie.
However, there are some key differences which make me think that it can't be it. The biggest one being that the toilet-shower gag is missing, and that's a scene I remember very vividly from the movie.
The other thing is that he is definitely the girl's father, not a boyfriend or step-father. The situation is basically the reverse of this movie - he's a single dad who's just starting to date a little bit, and the ex-wife makes the accusation against him because she wants full custody.
The touching incident is also described a lot differently - in this movie, she just kind of barges into the shower, touches him, then runs off. Strange incident, but still sounds like it could be an innocent little kid thing. He definitely does not ALLOW her to touch him, and I defs remember her being described as saying the line "I know what this is for" before running off. If anything, that line may have a sinister connotation, as it may suggest that SOMEONE ELSE had sexually abused her - but I have no idea, I don't remember how the movie concluded.
Finally, the father definitely wasn't an Irishman - I would have remembered an Irish accent. He was American.
So yeah, it's a really good guess, and I'm surprised that such a similar movie even exists - but it's not it.
I remember seeing this on TV back in the early 2000s. It's a movie about a single dad who gets falsely accused of molesting his young 5-7 year old daughter. What I remember the most vividly is the courtroom scene, in which this guy is basically just "way too honest for his own good". He's on the stand and the prosecution is asking him questions like "Did you ever touch her private areas?" and "Did she ever touch yours?", and instead of just saying "No", he says he did touch her there but only to wash her in the bath. He said something like "Who doesn't? You have to wash your kid". And as for her touching him, he describes an incident in which she walked in on him in the shower, touched her finger to his penis and said "I know what this is for", and then ran away. Very strange.
There's another scene I remember in which the father is making out with his new girlfriend in the shower, with the shower curtain drawn. Then unbeknownst to them the daughter comes in and uses the toilet, making the shower run hot when she flushes, giving them a shock xD .
The car is especially familiar to me - I was never much of a car guy and so couldn't identify it before, I just called it a "red sports car". But looking at pics of it now in the link you provided - that is 100% it!
Everything else pretty much matches up. The game I'm remembering wasn't completely devoid of an objective, you did race some other cars - but it didn't track your progress in any way like other racing games do, and there was no penalty for just ignoring them, driving off the track and freeroaming all over the place haha. It did have kinda a liminal, empty feel to it and there were no objects you could break or really interact with in any way - everything was just a texture.
The physics were janky, but acceptable. Or at least I thought it was OK back then, as a kid who hadn't played that many other racing games and so had nothing to compare with . "Magnetically attached to the ground" sounds accurate haha.
No sound also matches up - I definitely remember finding it odd how the game was so silent. Definitely had no music or a crash sound, but there MAY have been an engine noise.
Are you sure it was a downloadable game, and not a flash game? Your description really stuck out to me, and I feel like we might be looking for the same game...
So sometime in the mid-2000s, I remember seeing a rather bizarre Flash game. It had these birds coming down the screen, and they'd be hit by this ray which made their testicles grow out to absurd sizes, sometimes bigger than their bodies lol. I think you had to shoot them with a different ray which made them go back to normal, before they reach the bottom of the screen. It's always stuck in my mind because of how weird it is, but I haven't been able to find any trace of it now. I feel like it might've been literally called "Birds' Balls" lol.
From 1997 - 2001, Yahoo used to run these moderated Q&A sessions with celebrities called Yahoo Chat Events, where anyone with a Yahoo account could ask the given celebrity a question, and after it was approved by a moderator, then it could be answered by the celebrity, all in real-time chat. It was like a predecessor to Reddit AMAs. Apparently they ended up hosting about 350 events per month(!), with the more notable ones being the rock band Hanson, 3 of the Beatles(Paul,George and Ringo),astronaut John Glenn from outerspace, and interactive live news coverage of the Columbine shooting - as in, people were able to send in questions which would be relayed to and answered by news reporters on the scene, as the shooting was taking place.
I'm looking for East of West, a short film from 2000 written by Ryan Engle, who went on to write movies such as Non-Stop and Rampage. Here is the IMDB page - www.imdb.com/title/tt0263300/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_1
The reason I'm interested in this film is because one of the actors would later be caught on To Catch a Predator for coming to meet a 13 year old boy. His name is Christopher Moore, and he plays the role of the "boyfriend".
I'm interested in seeing some series/dramas from the DPRK. All I can ever find are just trailers or little snippets tho - I'd like to see full episodes. I'm especially interested in seeing the newer war drama series "Bulletproof Wall".
Was it The Last House on the Left ? It doesn't exactly match up with all the details you provided, but it's fairly close, and does have a disembowelment scene...
