I think I recall hearing the foghorn logo on On Demand services from the early-mid 2010s, on DirectTV. That would explain why it’s lost because as far as I know there’s no way to access those again. Does this ring a bell for anyone else?
I’m a little new to lost media but I have tried helping with the SpongeBoy ahoy audio before. Anyways I’m thinking that our best bet is finding a vhs recording in our house or purchased of eBay or somthing cause I don’t think we have any luck finding it on YouTube maybe an ad compilation that catches the tail end of a SpongeBob episode kinda like how we discovered the SpongeBob psp comercial off a frame from a completely different search. I will try to binge tons of early 2000s Nick ad compilations to see if it’s there

Thats honestly a great idea I don't know why I didn't think of that, I guess I was hard stuck on the fact it would be from airings from other countrys (which is still very much possible btw), But best of luck to you, I will continue to look for dubs of spongebob or airings from other countrys in general to see if it's in any of those
if this is a mandela effect it might come from the original credits of the texas episode, which have a very similar sound during the plankton united pictures logo to the one some of us remember

This has been brought up multiple times in the thread. From my memory I can clearly distinguish between the cows mooing and the foghorn sounds. I can remember being surprised to hear the foghorn after the credits of whichever random episode while I was accustomed to the cows mooing after the credits of Texas/Walking Small.
I talked with I believe you on Reddit about this. I’m still very curious about whether it exists.
I know this is from 2023, but where, actually?
There was a Reddit post about it. I’ve since deleted the comments I’d left, but the thread is actually still open if anyone ends up having new stuff to add. Here’s a link: https://www.reddit.com/r/spongebob/comments/weqvnq/question_regarding_the_united_plankton_pictures/
Hey guys! i really dont have any proof of what im abt to say, but i hope this could help somehow (?
I am from Latin America, specifically Mexico. Im not a big fan of TV in general but i used to watch a lot of TV years ago between 2015-2020. Mostly because i wanted to have some background sound/noise while doing something like playing videogames or just doing homework. I know that sounds "weird", but back then i was really young (im 16), i didnt had a computer to listen to music or anything, i only had my tablet and a 3DS so i was used to turning on the TV for background sound and playing something on my bed.
The channel i used to watch was Canal 5, a TV channel from here Mexico. Im a big fan of Canal 5 because they used to make, and still do a lot of re-runs of old TV shows. For example, Malcolm in the Middle, iCarly, SpongeBob, Dragon Ball, Victorious, etc... i am 100% sure that i have heard the foghorn logo not once, but a LOT of times on Canal 5 re-runs. I didnt watch Spongebob while growing up, i didnt had any DVDs of the series, neither did i watch the Nickelodeon channel, so im sure im not getting confused with another channel, im 100% sure i have heard the foghorn logo so many times on Canal 5 re-runs
I remember it being a loud sound, but it never really scared me since the re-runs were in the evening (4-6pm). Yesterday i saw LSuperSonicQ video on the subject, and i swear, the recreation on that video sounds almost identical from what i remember. What i cannot remember is, most of the time Canal 5 used to skip credits, bc the re-runs are like a full marathon of an hour, or two of episodes. They did this with iCarly, Spongebob, Malcolm, etc, sometimes these cuts were "clean" and sometimes they would do them in the middle of the credits lol, inmediatly going to the next episode, other times they would just leave the full credits without a cut, and move to the next episode when the credits finished, it was kind of weird.
I really dont think this is a Mandela effect, like i said i didnt watch Spongebob daily while growing up, just when they did re-runs on Canal 5. So im sure im not thinking of a specific episode bc they used to just put random episodes without any order. You could be watching a season 4 episode, then the next one turns out to be a season 7 episode, and like i said i never was a huge fan so its not like i have seen all episodes of Spongebob, i really REALLY doubt this is a Mandela effect.
Btw, im sorry if my english is broken, im still learning and i hate using translators so i just dont use them.

Wow this is a lot to go off of, Guess I know what we should be looking for now. Imma go off and look for recordings of Spongebob airings on Canal 5 and see what I can find, thank you so much for saying this as it finally gives me something to go off of and look for
Edit 1: I have just contacted someone on twitter who has VHS archives of this kinda stuff who also may have ties to another person who has VHS and TV rips of this kinda stuff, will edit this post should something happen

Oh shit, gonna have to find a way to watch Canal 5 now lol because I cannot for the life of me find any recordings, lets hope any of them will contain the foghorn logo
Are these times in EST?

I found this website, u can watch Canal 5 here, it seems to work fine and its in good quality. I think its filled with ads though, so be careful. Obviously its completely in spanish.
I really hope we can find the foghorn logo. Like i said before im 100% sure i have heard this logo so many times on these re-runs. But it has been years since i watched the channel.
