I just remembered that this commercial for Bratz Magic Hair really upset me for some odd reason I could never explain. Specifically it was the beginning when the girl was pulling at her hair in horror. I don’t know why but it made me wanna pull my own hair out and scream and cry. I was weird back in the day!!
It's so cheesy, but Beyond Belief Fact or Fiction did a number on me back in the day. The acting and writing wasn't always great, but man, some of the stories were completely unnerving and I attribute it to why even now, at 28 years old, I can't go around my house in the dark without waiting for something to get me. It's on Amazon Prime if anyone wants to relive their nightmares, but also on Youtube.
Kid in the Closet terrified me when I was 8 when they said it was fact.

This show scared me too! I specifically remember the "red eyes" episode! 0__0
This commercial. Don't ask why it scared me. I would either run out of the room when this thing came on during commercial breaks, or worse, cower my head in fear and scream. I still get the chills when I watch this.

Noooo that's like best commercial ever!
it still scared me lol also I was afraid of this balloon with this buff wolf on it that played Bad to the Bone when I was like 4 or something edit: I think I found it
This CN bumper used to creep me out as a kid. At first glance I thought the hypnotist had no face. TV's at that time were low resolution so I guess that makes sense why I thought that and his face is transparent.
Anyways, I interpreted he has floating eyes and a mustache. Like he's some strange creature. The aforementioned swirly eyes are of course creepy and that background music was no help at all.

There was this show called Clicky The Robot that we watched in elemetary school. (I remember this one episode about cyberbullying ehre one of the kids on the show got turnt into the bully. I dont remember being terrified, but the show created this sense of danger that just felt... off in a way.
Saw a gummy bear jumpscare where he all of a sudden blew a trumpet in my face that i've never found again.

The original Resident Evil 2, specifically when you come across the first licker:
Playing the game in the middle of the night, with no lights on, in my house by myself at 16 years old really didn't help, and it's one of the very few times, and definitely the most memorable for me, that I was ever legitimately scared by something fictional.
I know you're only talking to keep the silence out Maybe you should listen and leave some room for doubt You're just handing out bad reputations Why don't you shut your mouth? -Motorhead, "Overnight Sensation"
It’s basically just a 4 minute compilation of Dora brutally dying while original music plays in the background. I think it’s self-explanatory as to why it spooked me lmao
