Media that terrified you when you were younger

I just realized I said take out 💀-

God is that ironic.

That's it! I can see why I was scared of it in the past.

For some reason, I thought The Nightmare Before Christmas was scary when I was particularly young and didn't want to watch it whenever it aired on TV during Halloween. Eventually, I sat down and watched the movie when I was around seven or six, realized it's not a horror movie, and ended up enjoying it.

I was easily scared as a child, even towards the strangest of things despite some things being considered creepy not affecting me. Here's a small list of the things I can think of at the top of the head that I was scared of.

1. Even though the "You're not perfect" scene from Courage didn't really scare me all that much, some of the other nightmares from Courage's dreaming segment scared me more. The endless sky with the odd drawings on paper floating across, the end of the Wizard of Oz dream with the Wicked Witch, and the nightmare where Courage accidentally drops a vase just for Muriel to be the one shattering into pieces.

2. Those "Cursed by Allah" or "Kicked the Quran" videos, specifically the ones that had low quality footage and focused on strange-looking animals.

3. This one video where a girl is doing the "he loves me, he loves me not" petal pulling on a sentient flower just for a larger flower to come and pick her apart as the small flower smiles with glee.

4. The opening credits scene to Yellow Submarine.

5. Unironically, Dreamscape by 009 Sound System, same with Trinity and Born To Be Wasted. I have no idea why their music scared the hell out of little me this much.

6. Those hyperrealistic depictions of cartoon characters, especially this one Bart. (If you are familiar with that one "Can't sleep, clown will eat me" video, that is exactly what I am talking about. Still scares me.)

7. The start to Fergie's Clumsy, both the sound of the beat and the "Can't help it, girl can't help it" part.

8. Those purposefully disturbing My Little Pony videos. They've done Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy so dirty.

9. "I'm not Patrick!"

Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz terrified the hell out of me. Learning about how Judy Garland was treated on set, it makes me wonder if I was picking up on something.

What the fuck I think I've seen that flower one

The whole thing with Tomino's Hell and "I Can't Be a Bride Anymore" is so strange considering that the painting and the poem have nothing to do with eachother and the best assumption is that whoever uploaded the poem and called it a Creepypasta whilst also adding a crop of the painting had a fascination for Japanese horror and things generally considered disturbing. Knowing what the painting is supposed to represent and the artists's general theme present in her artwork does leave a bad taste in my mouth, though. I'd only hope it's one of those cases where the person who added the poem and image to the Creepypasta wiki wasn't completely aware.

Also, as an art major, I find it funny how Creepypasta manages to circle me back to art. One of my favorite Creepypastas revolved around a lost art piece that was said to be uploaded to YouTube.
