Hoarders of lost media that have the content, say they have it, but simply never release it just to annoy others. Seems to be most common in retro game lost media.
I know I already posted here, but I have another one. Similar to the answer co gave, but it is when people constantly bug others to contact others on their behalf

Spammers & attention seekers.
Spammers especially if you think someone has the lost media you're looking for shoot them an email and wait don't harass them into giving it to you, same thing goes for your fellow hunters; don't ask/beg/harass somebody into contacting someone on your behalf.
In addition to this attention seekers are the worst especially those who fake evidence to try and gain some popularity a good example is "Go for a punch" or "saki sanobashi" Whichever you prefer, there was quite a popular member of the community who was helping push the search and then said "LOL I WAS JUST KIDDING!" it just stops a search in its tracks and makes searching for media a chore.
Side note - if your unfamiliar with Saki Sanobashi I should give an NSFL warning due to mentions of gore.

People who hoard and not share. People who don't believe smth is clearly fake. And the other way around, when smth is clearly real and they say it's fake *cough Schnell cough*
And finally, when you try to bring up smth obscure and need help and everyone shuts you down because it's not "mainstream" enough.
