So I am legit struggling in finding a way to contact Subway's advertising department. I dunno, should I just go on the Subway website, contact whoever, and see if I get directed to the right person?

I'm guessing Courage must have been the promotion before it.
Whoa, there's actually a pretty solid lead in that message board. One person mentions that everyone at AKA Cartoons liked the toys. So now we know that the people behind the EEnE, know of this promotion, which means one of them might know of a commercial. Also should be noted that the EEnE fandom was huge at this time, even looking at old fansites might give us a lead of some sort. Although the fact none of the people in the message board bring up a commercial, only the website, sorta tells me that there is no commercial...these people seemed like super fans.

^ Yeah I’m 99.9% a commercial didn’t happen. Trust me, I would be going bananas if I knew there were EEnE toys. My brother would have done the same for Courage. Since I rarely went on the internet in those days, this went completely under my radar.
It's definitely not looking good for sure. But I'm still at a loss as to why they would make a whole game for Sheep on their website, but not advertise it. I guess the only thing I can think of was that the website was probably printed on the little toy bag, or maybe they put it on the toy instructions that usually comes with the toy?
I also wonder if they did an article for every toy, or if it was only for PPG, Sheep, and Time Squad....which is really random, I get PPG getting press coverage but not the other two. I guess that's how I found out about the Sheep game but like no 8 year old was reading those articles in the early 2000s
So I looked up Qsr Magazine (where the articles are from) and they still cover Subway's stuff...maybe subway sponsors them? Think this might be a good lead to follow, so I'm gonna dig.
Okay so I read a bunch of random business articles and I'm kinda coming to one conclusion. Subway relied on online advertising. One article talks about how the WB Kids website would link to the Subway kids website, and another article talks about how the 4kids website would link to the Subway kids website. None of these articles mention commercials, but to be fair, the PPG article didn't either.
Again, the wording suggests this was only advertised online. It would explain why a lot of these flew under the radar for us as kids, but why people on the message boards knew about them.
