Interesting. Hey, do you have any old Treehouse recordings?
Sorry, I don't have any. I used to have a recorded VHS of some Treehouse content that my grandparents taped for me so I could watch Treehouse at home (We didn't have cable at my house back then, so I had to watch Treehouse at my grandparents' place, or get them to tape some shows for me onto them). I have no idea what happened to the tape... I think my mother threw it out.
I used to watch Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends, Bob the Builder, and Ants in your Pants with my grandfather. Every Friday night, I'd stay at my grandparents' house and I'd stay up late at night to watch Ants in your Pants. Ah, the memories... I could go on and on about my Treehouse memories for hours...
That Treehouse tape I was talking about… I think my grandparents recorded that for me sometime in 2004. I think was also a bit of Knowledge Network content in there as well. I was only one year old, so I can’t really put my finger on which month it was recorded in…

Treehouse's current state is just... I can't find the words to describe it... it's just awful. They're even airing an awful Thomas the Tank Engine reboot where all the characters (most of them) are CHILDREN!! Some of the characters are still adults like Gordon and James, but why did they even do this? The characters even use Chuggington-style phrases like "Absotootley!", "Chugga-wha?", "Choo-hoo!", "Tootally!" and horrible stuff like that. It really makes me miss the days of when the characters would say things like "Bust my buffers!". Ah well, at least they still air the ORIGINAL Thomas and Friends TV series (the CGI episodes).
Even after the Golden Age and Silver Age had passed, Treehouse still brought some good shows to their channel like The Koala Brothers. I nearly forgot about that show! (Fun fact: I had DVDs of the show before it even premiered on Treehouse!) Also, I remember having a Koala Brothers toy which had figures of Frank and Buster, the Koala Brothers themselves, with bendable arms, complete with a playset of the Homestead (I think), the gate where they would take off, and their plane to go along with it. I wanted a figure of Archie the Crocodile so badly... Archie was one of my favorite Koala Brothers characters, along with Frank, Buster, and George.
I think the dark age really started when they premiered My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. They cancelled all the classic shows after that...
I agree. Now we have "Baby Shark" and "Ryan's Mystery Playdate" on Treehouse (but only because they are required to air them due to exclusivity agreements with Nick). But yeah, the bronze age did have some gems like "Big & Small", "Yo Gabba Gabba!", "Mister Maker", "In the Night Garden", "Wiggle & Learn", "My Friend Rabbit", "Ni Hao, Kai-Lan", and "Bert & Ernie's Great Adventures", among others. I prefer these shows over some Golden & Silver age shows (every generation had its gems and its duds).
Do you think Baby Shark's Big Show is ripping off Rubbadubbers in any way? Just wondering.
Agreed! Our childhoods shouldn't just be forgotten like this! If I only knew as well, at the time how rare these programs would become I would have tapped them too sadly we took them for granted when they were on
You know what? I nearly took all the classic Treehouse shows for granted because I thought they'd never be uploaded to YouTube. But some years later, I find uploads of Ants in Your Pants. I was so happy, I felt like my heart was going to burst. I rewatched some of the episodes, and I think one of my favorite episodes is "Monkey Mania", where Lickety tells us about a new song he learned at playgroup, and he then sings them in different styles, teaching the viewers about different genres of music. I also love "Around the Treehouse in 80 Days", the episode where Lickety talks about different types of transportation, like cars, trains, planes, and boats. My most favorite episode of the show, along with the two episodes previously mentioned, is "Old Mac Lickety". In that episode, Lickety talks about his experience from a trip to a farm and tells us some of the animals you see on a farm. The reason why I love "Old Mac Lickety" so much is because my grandparents lived on a farm. When I was little, they had some Holstein cows (The black and white ones), and they had some horses and two pigs before I was even born. I think my grandfather sold all the cows in 2006. On a side note, I'm surprised Lickety didn't talk about the types of machinery you see on a farm. I'm crazy about old John Deere tractors, and I really want to buy one! I also like some of the old John Deere combine harvesters.

I don't think so. As awesome as Rubbadubbers is, it has probably sadly been forgotten by many.

Yeah… It does seem like a lot of people forgot about the Rubbadubbers… I started a thread on some lost Rubbadubbers shorts a couple months ago, and the full shorts haven’t been found yet. I’m not giving up the search though.

You wanna know what really sucked about Treehouse in its dark age? They removed Bob the Builder in 2013 and only aired it sporadically that year! Me and my brother only got to see two half hour airings of it featuring “Wallpaper Wendy” and “Mucky Muck” on Mother’s Day, and “Bob’s Barnraising” and “Naughty Spud” on Thanksgiving, plus the movie “A Christmas to Remember” at Christmas! Bob didn’t deserve to suffer like that!
Honestly, I’m glad Treehouse didn’t decide to air that god-awful reboot of Bob in 2015…

Also, why did Treehouse make the decision to air Peppa Pig? That is the stupidest decision they’ve ever made since they thought of bringing My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic to the channel!

how dare you bring Peppa Pig slander to my face like this on a Friday night.

About the "Peppa Pig" part, I respect your opinion on the show. I'm not a fan of it, but I don't hate it either. About the "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" part, oh yeah, I've heard that they censored usages of the word "loser" even though it isn't a swear word.

I heard about the word “loser” being censored. It’s kinda messed up… They should have aired My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic on a different channel. If Treehouse didn’t air the show, then the channel wouldn’t be in the state that it’s in now.
Maybe YTV, Teletoon, or CBC Kids would be better Canadian channels to air "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic".
I agree. It might have been better to put My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic on YTV, Teletoon or CBC Kids. I wonder what Treehouse could have done instead of start airing it? Maybe they could have brought back Ants In Your Pants! But of course, as canadianchildhood says, Corus never listens.
