Existence of Saki Sanobashi/Go For A Punch

1. Chris Able was a scumfuck and I honestly think he might've been with the "Saki OP" Redditor, a malicious troll trying to sink the search even more. The site Dark Anime was real (though now defunct), but the Saki link he posted was faked.

2. I think someone has a burr up their butt about the mere idea that Go For A Punch (or something close enough to it) might actually be real and that's why we have so many malicious trolls with fake leads and disinformation like Able and the "Saki OP" guy (both of whom were discredited although people still cling to the latter's words as if they were holy gospel)

3. I still believe Go For A Punch is real, partly out of spite and partly because it does sound like the kind of thing that would've been common in the 80's and 90's during the OVA boom at the time. A lot of people like to say "The OVA is so obviously a creepypasta" but if you know anything about the 80's/90's OVA scene, you'd know that's not true.

Guro OVA's did get made back then and both hentai and ecchi OVA's tended to be darker and more violent as well as gory. Even the normal anime OVA's trended in a more violent and gory direction as well.

A lot of very low-budget OVA's with sensationalist content and weird concepts got cranked out en masse by small-time producers at the time and most of these didn't make it outside of Japan beyond the occasional bootlegs or low-quality VHS digital transfer.

The whole thing reminds me of Him, another holy grail of lost media that does sound too ridiculous by modern standards to be true and was heavily set back by false information making people think it was fake (although in the case of Him, the false information was entirely unintentional)

In both the cases of Go For A Punch and Him, we haven't found any footage of either title.

The only reason we were able to confirm that Him actually existed is because someone found old archived newspaper ads and a magazine review through sheer dumb luck.

I maintain that this was just some story an anon on /x/ made up, anyone who thinks this is real and is searching for it is being lead on and all they're really doing is being egged into downloading copious amounts of loli hentai onto their hard drives. We should be focusing on media with real proof of its existence, not wild goose chases over urban legends.

The issue isn't that Go For A Punch couldn't exist, it's that the only indication it does is a post that sounds like a lost episode creepypasta.  With how vague the information is we can never definitively prove it doesn't exist, but making up things that can't be disproven is pretty easy.  If we even had multiple unsupported accounts that weren't in response to the original Go For A Punch post I'd believe it existed, but right now we have no reason to believe it does.

It isn't just that it sounds weird, it's that the original post is melodramatic (calling it the worst thing they've ever seen on the deepweb and saying they were terrified that it was animated with "so much precision") in a way a low effort creepypasta would be. That doesn't prove it can't be real, but there's no evidence to think it is either. Like I said, just another post mentioning a similar anime that predates everyone looking for Go For A Punch would be enough for me, but as it is now there's no reason to believe it exists beyond it not being impossible.
