if this was an actual 30 minute anime that existed, think about its description. It looks like it had a 90s-80s aesthetic, with yellow subtitles and a japanese dub. Back then i can expect this was very obscure to the public, and its preservation on the internet is very obscure also. It was probably created by a small group/tiny animation studio of people with odd interests in dark story/guro in japan. and distributed to very shady/small communities. this may be an anime that did make some money, im not totally positive. some copies could have been sold to some people in some sort of dark alleyway, we never know. im sure this animation has some sort of "sketchy business" story behind it.
please correct any misinformation on this post. Id be more happy to know better.

I’m pretty sure Go For A Punch is now a “state of mind” because it probably doesn’t exist.
The dude on 4chan was revealed to be trolling all of us. How were none of us upset that we were deceived the whole time?

Well that's the thing, kinda, is that there is some evidence from what I understand the random dude on 4chan was just fucking with people too. I don't even know if it could possibly be credibly backed up if he were fucking with people or not, and frankly it seems hardly unrealistic to say some gory anime existed. I never considered this "guy who posted it came forward" thing because it's more absurd than the alleged anime. This random guy on 4chan said something years ago and then waits to "trigger" the trap like, what, a decade later and does so in a way that is so obtuse that no one can prove or disprove it? Idk but I'm a Pics or It Didn't Happen guy, especially with something as shady as 4chan. I could go on 4chan right now and say I was the chief writer on Go For Punch and it would carry the same weight. And sorry to anyone who actually uses or likes 4chan but it's useless to prove or disprove anything.
(massive edit so I don't get banned)
So if this does exist, and again it seems entirely realistic given what you can see on the Dark Web, then my best guess is that it's a false memory of a manga.

...and I just realized by sayting that I'm likely to get banned...
In my defense, I didn't find any of what I described someone I know who collects obscure/bizarre/illicit manga did and he showed me a link to a forum where it was being discussed along with some other stuff completely unrelated.

well, you see. alot of us still dont know if the OP on reddit was actually real. so i try to look for hope
I do not believe that Reddit poster was the actual Saki OP. I don't believe Saki exists, either. Nothing on /x/ should ever be taken at face value. It would be neat if it was true, though, and I can't wait to see what becomes of the fan project.

That's the one thing that always got me with the search and it was how fast people were able to write it off as a hoax simply on the grounds of someone who claimed to be the OP with no concrete evidence. That's not to say I think it exists because it probably doesn't, but it would be incredible if something close to it turns up (that isn't the fan project).
Didn’t the fucking OP say it was fake? Can you guys just fuck of and let this go?!
Well, that's the real issue. I'm not the only one who said this, but there is literally no way whatsoever to know if "OP" is actually OP, since I could go on 4Chan right now and say I'm the original OP and the other guy was lying. Because it's completely anonymous, or at the very least almost impossible to trace, anyone claiming to be the "real" OP is just as likely the "original" guy as you and me. Which is to say, it's up in the air.
Though honestly...I have no idea why this anime seems so outrageous and bizarre to people. I've seen poorly animated, 2000s era anime h3ntai which I had to back out (I was looking for something less extreme, to put it mildly) not just because I was afraid of the possible viruses but also because the stuff made the Go For Punch sound like an episode of the Smurfs about Smurfette getting stuck in her bedroom because the door jammed. "Girls kill themselves in a h3ntai" is not some massive leap, and to be frank I always just assumed it was either real or people were conflating several similar crazy guro anime.
Can we get someone to just lock this thread already? It's plainly useless to keep debating this...
_alexpine_ on discord. 2018 was HOW many years ago?!?! 2 correct unidentified/lost media solves out of my probably hundreds of bad guesses isn't THAT bad of a track record, right?
