Pixar could've easily ended Toy Story as a great trilogy, but no, they had to make Toy Story 4, and Lightyear, and now they have a Toy Story 5 in the works. And do I really need to remind everyone of how much Dreamworks milked the Shrek franchise? Heck, not only did they make a new Shrek movie a couple years back with Puss In Boots 2 (though, to be fair, while I haven't seen it, a lot of people seemed to like it,) but there's still rumors there's gonna be a Shrek 5.

Also, while we're on the subject of CGI animated kids' movie, we don't need another Ice Age movie. I like Ice Age, but did Ice Age 1 really need five freakin' sequels?!

I personally dug Lightyear and Toy Story 4 and I do think there are plenty of ways part 5 can go(definitely wouldn't mind if they brought back Lotso).

Also I will say it's not just American viewers, people overseas love that stuff too.

Oh Shrek 5 is no rumor, it's confirmed:

For Percy Jackson I think both the films and the show are pretty good, though i've admittedly never read a single word of the books and don't feel the need to as I just don't really have time to dig into massive novels like that anymore.

I like Spiderwick Chronicles series and feel bad it almost got canned.

Had no idea there even was an Eragon show, but after how bad the movie was I feel like that universe just isn't interesting enough in general.

The Percy Jackson books aren't massive novels by any means, they're actually on the shorter side, but I feel you. That said, I never bothered reading any of the "mythological Riordan novels" beyond the original 5 book Percy series that I read over college summer break ages ago...and that's a shame because I'm sure his other books are just as quirky and fun. I just have too little time after work and other obligations to cram in all of the "classic" childhood/teen stuff I never got to experience, PLUS revisit/finish old stuff, PLUS cram in new series. Books, TV shows, movies, video games, comics/manga, ah, it's just too much <_<

The Eragon books are decent apart from the first book, which was basically just a mishmash of tropes from Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, "insert generic fantasy novel here," etc. IMO. The second book is my personal favorite. Still haven't read the new Murtaugh book that came out though (see above, ugh). I just like that loser alt-right chuds are butthurt over Annabelle being black and I loved the author mocking those losers for showing their asses and being the manchildren that they are.

There’s plenty of things to critique the modern MCU on but I don’t think this is one of them

the problem with this complaint is that it deliberately ignores the fact that a character is not just what they wear or what they look like but their development, personality, relations, growth, etc and killing them and replacing them will still not alleviate the death of the prior variant because that growth that the variant went through is gone and now you’re interacting with what is basically a different character in the same skin

If Loki at the end of his series died and was replaced with a normal variant of Loki, this wouldn’t lessen the impact of the death of the series Loki because the huge villain to hero growth of the series Loki would not exist with the new one.

If you take one look at Screen Culture, the amount of fake trailers they have for various films is ungodly, they have like 11 fake trailers for the second FNAF movie alone.
