A piece of media that was better than you expected.

that was honestly the case with Spongebob for me as the commercials I saw did not make it look appealing in the slightest and I ignored the show for years as a result, then one day in 2003 when my family was on vacation I was bored and turned on the TV and the show happened to be on and I had nothing better to do so I figured what the hell might as well give it a shot and surprisingly I found myself really liking it, after that I was hooked and rented out every DVD and VHS my local library had.

Also Out of Jimmy's Head, back when it was first airing the clips of it I saw didn't make it look that interesting to me but many years later I got intrigued and was surprised to find out it was lost media, once it finally got found I checked the episodes out and I found myself actually really enjoying the show, something about it's weird messed up universe really appealed to me.

Oppenheimer, I am not the biggest historical movie fan and I thought this movie was gonna be really highbrow or artsy and full of explosions based on memes about it, but I ended up really enjoying it.

waffle eviction. i expected the bible propaganda but I didn't expect to be playing one of the songs from it on repeat for the past month. it's also suprisingly good quality for something made from a small unheard of company. the skits were funny, the songs were good, and as a fan of puppets their puppeteering and puppet designs are really good. a lot of effort went into the movie and it really shows.

I think it was OK but I definitely wouldn't call it better then those films. For me it's a decent film that could've been truly great had it not been subjected to executive meddling forcing it to tie into Disney'c centennial celebration with all of those forced and pointless cameos that contribute absolutely nothing to the plot.

Speaking of Disney though that reminds me, I remember in junior high we were shown the movie Meet the Deedles and I don't remember going into that one with particularly high expectations but it turned out to be a pretty good time.
