Oh that's right! I had forgotten that Pokemon left 4Kids and went to The Pokemon Company instead. People seem pretty mixed on which version of the show they prefer in terms of the dub-I have heard that the 4kids dub is more free-spirited and natural, playing more fast and loose with translation whereas the Pokemon Company dub is much closer and more literal to the original translation.
Didn't know about the Chaotic debacle, indeed it sounds like an expensive mistake since I don't know anyone in my life who has talked about it, like ever? I'm also mixing that up in my head with that IGPX show that was also an "original" project with Production IG/CN, that also didn't do particularly well.
