Anyone else "catching up" on their childhoods now?

That was one of those older shows I used to catch at my grandmothers house when my mom took me there after sunday school, also remember watching Addams Family animated(kinda meh) and The Smurfs(fucking hated those blue bastards).

Honestly, looking at these recent posts just makes me want to know MORE about Qubo, their history, and the shows they aired. Because...the heck??? The shows I remember airing when my sibling still watched it (and I...eh hung out in the living room LOL) were Martin the Tap Dancing Horse, Jane and the Dragon, Rupert, 3-2-1 Penguins, Jacob Two-Two, and some animal square show I don't recall the name of. This was the channel, not the block on CBS

Already an eclectic lineup, and had NO idea that Qubo got other shows like Scaredy Squirrel, or that Being Ian show (which was a banger theme, thanks for sharing). Almost like a more kiddo version of Nicktoons Network which would just air some of the most off-the-wall cartoons like Making Fiends or Skyland alongside reruns of The Fairly Oddparents.

I knew about Night Owl, but I think by the time it got more prominent airtime, we had finally gotten cable and my younger sibling had moved on to cable stuff.

Indeed! Also that Piggley Winks show about Irish storytelling tradition and some show called Sitting Ducks, which also aired on Cartoon Network I think? Haha. Even though I was an adult by the time Qubo made its small mark, I still feel bizarrely nostalgic for the channel.

It was a neat experiment when you think about it, especially since you didn't need cable for it, which was a big deal for our family...no kidding, we were mostly watching DVDs/videos we rented from Blockbuster/got from library or gifts OR PBS/Discovery Kids lineup; actual cable shows were limited to visiting relatives or watching a random episode of something on the Cartoon Network player. To have an all family/kids channel besides PBS was really nifty. Especially since this would have been before streaming majorly took off. 

Planning to get back into and finish some more animated shows I enjoyed watching as a kid but never got to finish-Megaman NT Warrior series and the Transformers Armada trilogy.

Yeah, no Megaman cartoon for me either-it looked kinda cool, but I hadn't played any of the games, so it didn't feel like something I would enjoy. My partner enjoyed it though, I think, likely because he particularly likes the Battle Network games.

I was mostly done with Kids WB by the time 2004 rolled around, and I think my younger sibling shortly switched to watching stuff on Discovery Kids NBC on Saturdays instead (afternoons were more for PBS, especially once Kids WB stopped airing cartoons in the afternoons. Anyone remember that? I do)

I hadn't played any of the games at the time either but it didn't stop me from getting into them. I honestly never got into the games much, I tried Zero 4 and ZX but they proved too difficult and confusing for me so I never got very far and mostly lost interest in the games after that TBH(I did however have to try out X7 as I kept hearing about how bad it was and I had to see for myself and honestly I don't think it's that bad at all).

I watched Kids WB until sometime in 2006 when Pokemon stopped airing on there and moved to CN and Yugioh ended it's run, the shows that came after(Chaotic, Spider Riders) didn't really grab me so I ended up spending my Saturday mornings playing video games instead after that. i occasionally caught stuff on Discovery Kids(Scout's Safari, Kenny the Shark, Darcy's Wild Life, etc) in the mid-2000s but once it became The Hub I lost interest.

I wasn't aware that Kids WB ever aired shows on weekday afternoons.

Indeed, some of my key younger memories were getting home in the afternoons in the late 90s and seeing a lineup that was some mix of Tiny Toons, Animaniacs/Pinky and the Brain, Pokemon, Jackie Chan Adventures, Hysteria, Cardcaptors, Generation O, and/or Detention. I think I had a videotape that included some Pokemon, Cardcaptors, and Generation O, though that's "99% permanently lost media" when the relatives sold the house.

It's honestly interesting to me to hear when people "fell out of Saturday morning/afternoon cartoons." I was mostly done by 2004, for others it was later. That makes sense, I remember when Pokemon was on CN (though I didn't know it had left Kids WB for good at that time) Diamond/Pearl generation, right? Yu-Gi-Oh was also the last major cash cow for 4Kids, if I remember correctly, and they never really recovered from the lawsuit. (Sonic X did well too, but not quite the same merch impact as YGO) I do feel it's at least kind of admirable that 4Kids TRIED to keep morning block cartoons going until 2009 though. 

My knowledge of the Kids WB lineup mostly ends after Yu-Gi-Oh and that Coconut Fred show. I have heard that some people liked Xiaolin Showdown, but I though the style looked weird and never watched it. Same for Mucha Lucha. 
I was honestly more interesting in the Fox Box lineup, but my Fox station didn't have Saturday morning cartoons though.
