Anyone else "catching up" on their childhoods now?

Ya! I have been recently watching some films that I loved from childhood.

Yes with Looney Tunes. My theory is that I was banned from Spongebob and Nickelodeon and still am and LT aired there at the time...

Nickelodeon lost the rights because Warner brought Turner which owned CN gaining the channel as well as many of their 40s shorts plus the Hanna Barbera,MGM and some of the Popeye library’s.Meaning they had no real need for airing LT on other channels so they just waited out their contracts with Nick and ABC (Explaining the Bugs Bunny and Tweety shows end aswell) and even then this is VERY Abridged so I’d recommended watching Nick Knacks videos on Looney Tunes on Nickelodeon as well as while your at it watching the Merrie History of looney tunes for a good look at its history from the 30s to 1969

Yeah, my parents didn't exactly do an A+ job of raising me, they were young and dumb, and didn't really know how to raise a kid. Lots of belittling and gaslighting and trying to make me into them, especially once I got past age 10. I'd say they were "tiger parent lite" 70% of the time and then just "tiger parent" the other 30%. All that said, they kept me fed and clean, the power and water was always on and available, they took me fun places, they did value my education and activities, provided a place for me to stay during higher education and traumatic life events, so I am very, very lucky in other respects.

Funny enough, on your topic, I too got into trying to watch shows "from childhood" in my early adult years, less so than anime, but I still did. I did luck out because I had a sibling who was younger, and so I would "stealth watch" them with him. I got into it again later once I realized you can check out those giant DVD box sets of whole kids series at the library!!!
Also reminds me of one of my former dates who mentioned watching Adventure Time to "feel like a kid again" and I was like baby, you're barely past high school, you're still practically a kid! LOL But I would have been doing the same thing at his age, heck I still widely consumed "kids media" at his age, so who am I to talk? 
Sadly, time and business has caught up to me too, and I just don't have time for all my interests :/

Every generation seems to think theirs is the one with "all the 'not for kids' jokes" in their animation (and TBF, that's because of the past mindset that "cartoons are for kids" UGH), but the 90s and 00s definitely had some really wild content in "kids shows." Sometimes to the point I refer to them as "family shows" instead. The people who made those shows knew what they were doing LOL Also why I sometimes prefer watching "kids shows" because the people in them have to be more clever about those kinds of jokes, and thus you get clever writing instead of just "in your face" crude humor.
