When my sister first went, she had a horrible time because she over paid for some Disney vacation package (don't buy these, they are scams). She also was trying to "wing it" while park hoping and just ended up miserable.

When she went again with me and I slowed down and spent more time pointing out small details and talking about the park's history (I used to work in video archive and got tons of Disney home movies from the 70s and 80s). She ended up enjoying herself more.

Tho maybe my unpopular opinion...

I think rides like Peter Pan, Small World, and the Tiki Room are sort of garbage. I think they are kept around for the novelty of how old they are. But I don't think they are good rides.

I just know I wouldn't have enjoyed it because of my autism i'm not into big crowds so i'm eternally grateful that my parents never ended up going there.

Tons of people with ASD love the Disney parks. It’s a very common hyperfixation.

What I think Nildrohain might possibly be getting at (just a guess) is that swearing should be in moderation in shows and movies, so that when they do swear, it packs a stronger punch than if the did it like, every 35 seconds.

That’s just my 2 cents though.

Yeah and lots of people who have issues with big crowds like me don't like them, just watching videos of how crowded the parks get makes me feel claustrophobic and anxious.

Yeah, not to get too far off topic, but I wasn't allowed to curse, but my parent DEFINITELY cursed and especially liked to curse about me as a failure of a human being and wishing they hadn't had me, so that might be part of it, some type of past family trauma that still stings <_< I have nothing against cursing personally, I just don't do it a lot and neither does a lot of my main friend group. And it's just the overuse of it that makes me feel weird, but again, this is a ME thing. This doesn't apply to everyone everywhere!

In fact, I'm super open about "colorful content" in general, and wish America was way less prudish about things (especially in media, but also general culture) compared to much of Europe or Asia.

Funny enough, there was an interesting article years ago (from a nonreligious, nonconservative, educated individual) who was actually pissed off about how common profanity and obscenity had become in "wider culture" than in past years. Because he/she missed the power that profanity/obscenity USED to provide, the way it made a point succinctly and packed a punch and served a function. He/she saw swearing as losing its teeth, meaning, and its purpose now that it was just being used constantly everywhere. I sadly can't seem to find the article anymore.
And I dunno, I just don't like using &$^#% to describe my female friends, even in a friendly manner. Because personally to me, I don't care about "reclaiming" a word, because that word had been used to denigrate women for thousands of years (if not hundreds of thousands) of years of human history and it doesn't feel right to me personally. But I tell people, hey, you do you if that's your choice!

you mean catch u next tuesday? Personally I use that term to describe any person that pisses me off regardless of gender, I don't play favorites in that regard and I will say that particular word is much more common in the UK and isn't considered a big deal over there(though Fanny is considered a swear over there bizarrely enough).

Same with bitch, I use that word for anyone that I despise, not just certain women(I.E. right-wing wackos like MTG and Bobo).

Also there's a magazine out there called "Bitch" run by women so there's that.

100% on the bacon thing. I NEVER got why there was so much stuff in the late 00s and 10s about bacon being the "best food ever." Was this some type of consumer psyop to increase sales of real bacon or something (sort of like a secret Got Milk campaign)

? I only like turkey bacon myself.

I could see people not liking A Christmas Story since it got way overexposed and overly "consoomer" in the past decade, similar to The Office or Friends. I would especially hate it if I was forced to watch it every year. My own family mostly popped in It's a Wonderful Life every single year...which I found HORRIBLY boring <_< Really sad considering it was among the "top movies of all time" for my family member who has since passed. I may watch it again someday to see if I feel differently about it.

On that note, Citizen Kane. Greatest film of all time...okay?

I hated that movie since I saw it in the mid-2000s LONG before it got overexposed or was trendy to do so, I just never liked it.

My mom isn't big on Citizen Kane either(and she prefers the original Godfather novel to the movie) and I too always hated It's a Wonderful Life, I always found parodies and homages to it to be more enjoyable(like that recent slasher movie "It's a Wonderful Knife").
