It seems like we have a ton of these same threads which are started with largely questionable intentions to shit on other people's hobbies and interests and eventually they all end with someone mentioning Christine Chubbuck and everyone else going "dude, not cool". And then we do the same thing all over again.
I don't think that was the intention. The true intention was for people to voice what they consider types of lost media they don't like/are not interested in. Plus, this is thankfully very calm compared to that one thread I was in(which I'll admit, I kind of started that cesspool of insanity).

Yeah it would only be "lost" if it was advertised but never came out, like Steven Seagal's Lightning Bolt energy drink had two flavors you could get "Cherry Charge" and "Asian Sensation", but the official website for the drink advertised a third flavor that nobody was ever able to find in stores- "Root Beer Rush".
I know I only drink water, but how could ANYONE find the "Root Beer Rush" flavor of Steven Seagal's Lightning Bolt & think it's gonna taste good? That just sounds like it would be awful.
I'm addicted to caffeine and sugar, so a root beer flavored energy drink is unironically appealing to me.

I wouldn't really consider any type of lost media "bad" (As there has to be someone interested in it, even if i'm not) other than real-life footage of death, suicide, and massacres. Can't we just let people rest in peace? Do we have to search for their unflattering final moments? And I don't even really get why someone would want to find it - why would you go out of your way to watch someone die?
I agree with the lost bumpers and commercials. The only time that I'm interested in them is if they're NSFL PSAs, as I just think they're interesting, like "Per Kilo" And "Karne Ka Lang Sa Hazing". Besides, there's more important and relevant searches out there.

And speaking of weird, I find the obsession with hunting down the Christine Chubbuck tape bizarre. Even without considering how she or her family would feel, do YOU really want to see it?

I just don't find most ads that interesting, for me one of the benefits of taping shows was the ability to fast-forward through those things.
I like lost toys, the videos that people like LSSQ make on them are always pretty interesting. But I agree they aren't really considered 'media' per se.. just exceedingly rare. Maybe more undocumented than they are lost (?)
