Does pestering a big YouTuber to talk about it count?
Count as what? Also no I'd prefer you (or whoever's doing it) don't do that, if someone wants to talk about it they can do it on their own, I don't want anyone pestered.

I’d be down. Also, the book was a great read, although there is one problem when reaching out to a crew member I’d like you to cover in the book. I’ll describe it.
Basically, it’s when you have an email username like “Noobdestroyer123” or something like that. It hinders the search efforts, and the receiver will just assume it’s spam and delete it. I think it’s best to just use your real name, or make one up, so that the chances of the crew member seeing your message is increased.
Another one is those types of lost media that don’t really have much historical significance or impact on society, yet I still want them to be found. For example, I really hope the lost deleted scenes from the 1988 animated feature film “The Land Before Time” are found, but they don’t seem to have much historical significance or impact on society. Do I just skip those when pitching the search?
There isn’t anything I can do myself to contribute, but I hope that when I make the thread, some big lost media youtuber like LSuperSonicQ or BlameItOnJorge will make a video for it to spread the word of the search, but I’m not sure Sonic would be interested in it, as he seldom ever makes lost media videos where the topic is lost film, and blameitonjorge isn’t as well known, so the search wouldn’t get as much attention (at least I don’t think it would). Do you have any solutions to give? I could tell you the information on the subject if you need me to.

Everything has some sort of social or historical significance. The Land Before Time is certainly a movie many, many people know about and I'm sure if you found the right community you could organize a search effort for its deleted scenes. You just need to find the right angle in how your subject can be significant to others.
HOLY SHIT HE RESPONDED! There was already a search btw, but it sadly died down in October, and through my own thread, I’m trying to revive it. The thread is called “The Land Before Time: Deleted Scenes” which does contain some info and people the previous search already contacted. I sadly can’t start one on discord, since I’m not allowed to have it for reasons I’d rather not get into, but it’s really an underrated piece.
And it’s one of those things where a lot of people believe the extra footage was lost or destroyed, but I disagree for reasons I stated in the thread.

Unfortunately when it comes to things like this where they're deleted scenes from pretty well known films, it's hard to get a hold of them due to a multitude of legal reasons. If the editor is still alive, I'd maybe try contacting him, as well as any of the head animators, if that wasn't done already. Also, fairly obvious, but make sure there aren't any weird DVD releases that have the deleted scenes as special features. But yeah, this is one of those searches that is really difficult to really get any headway in due to how high class the media itself is, if that makes any sense.

The 2 film editors are still alive, and in an email from 2006 (I don’t remember who was contacted), they sadly confirmed that the editors are not in possession of the deleted footage, which isn’t the most reassuring news. They didn’t even have the unfinished pencil tests, though I still wouldn’t rule out the possibility of them still existing.
That’s because some of the scenes were cut a mere 2-3 weeks before the premier, and as a result, were not only 100% completed, but even had a score. Not only that, but the executive producers on the film (Steven Spielberg and George Lucas) are advocates for film preservation. Thats why the deleted scenes for E.T. and Jurassic Park still exist, despite the latter never being released, so Mr. Coat asked in his video “So why would both filmmakers approve of the removed scenes being destroyed? I feel like there’s a longer story here.”
Not only that, but for all the footage to have been wiped, there would have had to be very few copies in existence, and considering most of the deleted scenes were fully animated and had audio, as these animated cuts occurred 6 months to 3 weeks from release, I don’t think it would be in Spielberg’s best interest to destroy fully animated scenes. There’s also the fact that many animation Cels from the cut scenes constantly surface online, as though they’re no more scarce than any other part of the movie.
Plus, other Don Bluth film's with deleted scenes, such as all dogs go to heaven and rock a doodle had some of their cut scenes surface, albeit recorded off a phone, and considering the former only came out a year after the land before time, I wouldn’t rule it out that someone in the crew has something, and hasn’t come forward yet.
I don’t think the films crew would have much, so it’s more likely that any prints containing the scenes that do still exist would likely be in universal or amblins archives, and I could see a boutique label like Shout Factory, Criterion Collection or Kino Lorber.
I personally hope that word of mouth from some famous lost media youtuber like LSuperSonicQ might be able to help get at least something unearthed, even if said youtuber doesn’t participate in the search himself.
One things for sure, Don Bluth doesn’t have any of the scenes, and he also believes them to be lost/destroyed. The people we’ve reached out to so far being Mark Pudleiner, Gary Goldman, Stu Krieger, and one other I don’t remember. Even if the footage doesn’t exist anymore, Gary Goldman did at least state the possibility of the drawings from the uncut sharptooth attack (the most well-known deleted scene from the movie) still existing in universals archive.
There is one problem though, that being that I don’t think LSuperSonicQ is really into lost film media, let alone deleted scenes that would be hard to find considering how high-profile it is, but he does have the power of impeccable word of mouth.
I’m sure at least a VHS workprint still exists at least, even if it’s extremely damaged.

Oh and I forgot to address, the previous search party never reached out to any lead animators, so there’s that lead. If they don’t have anything, they might be able to give us a different lead, or maybe look in universals archive and find something.
Tbh, i was personally really hoping that some boutique label would license the rights for a 35 anniversary 4K remaster with deleted scenes, but I guess that isn’t happening.
Do you think LSuperSonicQ would make a video on this subject? People like scribbles to screen and Mr. Coat have already made videos on the subject, but neither of them are anywhere near as well known as LSuperSonicQ or BlameItOnJorge.
Here’s the quote where Don Bluth debunks the rumors of him having any deleted scenes, sourced from the lost media wiki article in the subject, which in turn, was sourced from his 2022 autobiography Somewhere Out There:

And here’s a press kit, which contains 9 frames from the movie, 3 of which being from cut scenes:
The frames in question that are cut include the waterfall bit (from the original ending), Littlefoot looking excitedly at the great valley by himself (same scene, just slightly earlier), and Littlefoot looking down at ducky and Petrie sitting on a bed of leaves, with Spike standing nearby (extended green food scene).

Also, update: I sent a message to LSuperSonicQ via this forum and suggested he made a video on the subject. HE ACCEPTED! I then proceeded to tell him everything he needs to know. The fact I even got acknowledged by him made me dance in excitement.

That's awesome! I also recently requested him a topic about a lost toy. Don't know if you can access other people's messages, but of you can then here it is.
