Hi. I was watching LSuperSonicQ's new video and overheard this and it instantly triggered my memories of the commercial I (think) witnessed years ago that I made a thread about. The description of it being a "lady with her hair pulled back" gives me vibes that it was indeed toned down for its intended audience instead of showing something graphic/scary.
I rarely post on this forum, but I knew I had to because this entire story is too eerily similar to the one I have that I'm pretty sure most people have dismissed as a false memory.
Well you definitely help because I'm pretty sure some people have starting to think this might be fake. I hope this gets found and I have looked through a few compilations but I haven't found a single thing.
I grant you the time period is a bit off, but just TRY "The Heart, She Holler" commercials, just for criminy's SAKE not after midnight I already can't sleep just THINKING of them! Excuse me whilst I scamper off for a kitten chaser! I'm not gonna lie when I first saw this it immediately reminded me of The Heart She Hollar commercials, but I knew it couldn't be it since this is TV Land. Also this is 2005 and The Heart She Hollar first aired in 2011.
I very much doubt it was K-Fee. I don't think those commercials aired outside of Germany.
A slight bump, but I think they might've aired elsewhere in Europe at the least, they had 4 radio ads that were in English and German, and one of them was about investment banking which specifically mentions Euros, so likely Ireland?
Not sure why they'd made them in English if they were just aired in Germany.
A lot of international ads get English versions for the awards circuit and to help them go viral (which K-Fee absolutely did).
While this does sound remarkably similar to the later K-Fee ads, AFAIK they never aired for the English market and I don't think K-Fee was even available in the United States. Could have been intentionally showcased by TV Land but as jumpscares go this is a fairly standard premise.
I finally saw LSSQ's video that featured this thread and it renewed my interest. I found a 2005 TVLand commercial complimation on YouTube, but it was during airings of Gunsmoke. At any rate, might be worth looking through.
But I have a few theories as to what this screamer ad could be:
1. The ad wasn't meant to be scary but was cut short which made it feel more unnatural than it already was. 2. Maybe your mom flipped to another station to avoid commercials and you saw a snippet of something else? 3. Was this during October at all? Maybe you saw a Halloween ad of some sort? Perhaps even just a bumper for TVLand meant to advertise something spooky. One person in LSSQ's vid mentioned a Fright Night Six Flags commercial.
If not any of these, any chance you can better pinpoint when this happened? It would help combing through commercial complications.
OR, maybe instead of us focusing on TVLand specifically, we should just broaden our search to screamer ads or anything that matches your description.

I'm not sure when K-Fee entered the US/UK markets, but it is available in other countries:
But even then I think some of them might've aired in English-speaking countries, the screamer wiki page mentions the ads did air in the UK alongside Germany. No mention of them airing in the States. But many did air in English. Usually following the exact same format but the ending text was translated from "So wach warst du noch nie." to "Ever been so wide awake?"
The ads did appear on US television when they appeared on both "Tonight With Jay Leno" and "America's funniest home videos" apparently.
I'm still really unsure if the ad OP remembers is K Fee, because while none of the ads match the description of the stuff about the waterfall and mountains, the closest K Fee one would be meadow, which showed scenery of flowers and a meadow before the zombie pops up, which, to be fair, I remember a few people thinking the K Fee zombie was a woman at some points, and kind of matches the "woman screaming with hair out" thing because the guy did have long hair.
But weirdly enough, rewatching the ads, all of them (if viewed as one) do fit OPs memory, one of them was someone doing yoga on a mountain, another was someone fishing in the river with sounds of water, one of panning on a beach etc.

I wouldn't compare the current K-Fee business model (coffee machines) to when they were making drinks in the 2000s... in fact I'm pretty sure the current K-Fee is a different company entirely, at least from what's implied on their site.
The original K-Fee website c. 2005 (on Wayback Machine) mentions they entered the US drinks market, but it's unclear whether the plans to air the commercials actually went ahead:
In addition to Japan, there is also already an existing RTD coffee market in the USA. "After preparations that have now taken over a year and a half, we decided to set up our own subsidiary in the USA," says Richard Radtke. "The key here is the General Manager, Jim Mercer, who is a good friend and business partner of Drayton McLane. Drayton set up McLane in the U.S. at the time. McLane is the American equivalent of Lekkerland-Tobaccoland and just, like everything else in America, a little bigger." In terms of marketing, the USA partnership is supported from Germany. For example, the Berlin Thunder American football team's game was shown live for three hours on Fox with major jersey sponsorship from K-fee. In the USA in particular, K-fee is banking on the success of viral marketing. The K-fee spots circulating on the Internet have already been aired on Jay Leno's "Tonight Show," one of the most popular late-night shows in the US. But being on the opening page of the "Bevnet" Internet service has also helped K-fee drinks in the USA. Nevertheless, the K-fee business in the U.S. is just getting off the ground, and it's still too early to take stock here. New Zealand and Australia have also been supplied "Down Under" since this beverage season. "Particularly pleasing here is the fact that our partner there is investing in marketing and broadcasting the Jung-von-Matt spots in English. However, here, too, only the beginning has been made"
If these aired in the US you'd think more people would remember seeing them on regular TV.
The website also mentions the commercials winning/being nominated for advertising awards, which like I mentioned before is another reason a company might produce English versions of their ads. It's not uncommon for highly localized commercials to get an English variant just because they were nominated for a Golden Lion etc.
I wouldn't take the Screamer Wiki's word that these aired in the UK either, especially because the K-Fee site says the only European market they managed to enter was Serbia.
i think i may have seen this. either that or my brain has taken the opportunity to make a false memory or two
what i think i remember is basically what the op said. peaceful scenery with a running river and birds and the like. i remember it played that classical music tune that plays during morning scenes and when the bit ended the jumpscare happens. i dont quite remember what the spook looks like though. i watched this once, got got, and just turned my head away whenever it aired again. i feel like the scream was a public domain one (not wilhelm)
my brain tells me this aired during october and was just a spooky thing for halloween. it does not tell me why this is. it also tells me it was shown multiple years because i have an 'oh no this is back' memory
the where and when im not sure of. i did watch tvland so that checks out. the earliest it couldve been was 99 since i remember watching dragnet and wikipedia tells me that was when they started airing it. i also watched the a-team and...i think thats it. so 99-02 might be when it first started. im fairly certain it wasnt my first jumpscare/screamer so if someone knows when those first started getting popular that might could help. i wouldve watched other channels a lot more but tvland seems the most likely place it wouldve been among them
and i think thats about all i remember. or think i remember at least. really hoping my brain didnt just decide to make stuff up :/

That supports the theory it was an old commercial they reaired because OP saw it from 2005-2007

I remember seeing this as a kid too, but I can't remember on what channel. It was similarly during blocks of old cartoons (tom and jerry and woody woodpecker stick out in my mind as having likely played on it, I remember seeing them and the ad around the same time). I believe where I saw it also may have re-aired old commercials sometimes too? I was incredibly young, couldnt have been later than 2010.

Jumping in this thread. I don’t remember it, but it seems like a few people do. Ngl, I read it before LSSQ's video and assumed it as fake creepypasta bait from a troll who wanted nothing more than attention. But now since people believe this, I’ll look at commercial complications.
Oh, the shitty humanity! Are you stalking my profile without following me AGAIN?!
been doing some searching and havent found anything. tried commercial compilations on youtube from october 99-02 and just searching for scary commericals in general. starting to think it might not be a thing since apparently i watched a lot less tvland than i thought i did :/ . maybe there was another channel that kinda had similar stuff on it? like me tv but i dont think it was around then. dont want to rule it as brains being stupid just yet though. maybe if op can give more details on what kinda scenery it ended on before the scare or what the woman looked like and if it matches with what i think i remember we might be on to something

Do you remember soothing music in the background before the jumpscare? Because the creators of the scary car commercial also made other commercial like the one I just described.
