Could Nickelodeon or Viacom ever leak the uncensored audio?
Or would it be too mature for their main demographic to see?
With Nickelodeon's family-friendly reputation to uphold, I think it might be unlikely for them to willingly upload uncensored audio if such a thing exists. A leak would be a totally different story, however. Due to its nature, we might not see another miracle like the SpongeBob Zodiac bumpers.

Maybe….but Nickelodeon has allowed some swearing in the past.
If you remember, in the original 1997 theatrical run of the film Good Burger, when Abe Vigoda’s character Otis falls down; he originally says “I think I broke my a**”
Strangely, when the Nickrewind block re-airs the movie now, they censored and changed his line to “I think I broke my tail” which doesn’t really make sense.
Well, this is big, like BIIIIG big info, Sailor Mouth always felt like an impossible task due to how secretive nick is about it, but now, with the confirmation of copies out in the wild? This is a game changer! Excited to see if this leads somewhere interesting.
This is another one im quite interested in. I remember awhile ago i watched a video and it had tom Kenny talking about the spongebob episode sailor mouth and he explained how that during the recording for the episode they actully cursed uncensored then in post production they censored the words. what im curious about is if there's any possible way that the uncensored audio actully exists. I know we have a silm chance of finding it because Nickelodeon defently wouldn't release it but there is still a chance that its floating around somewhere even if it's a small chance
I believe that for the first part of the episode, they were making up curse words to censor out. As it progressed, they realised that it would be more authentic if they used real swear words. As you said, it is likely nick will never release it. Also, Tom Kenny stated himself that he would like to see it.

I’ve never really studied it too much but are the characters actually animated to be saying the words or just gibberish?

For all we know it could be like certain Simpsons episodes (S8-10's-ish?) where sometimes the lip sync doesn't quite look like it's matching what's being said for whatever reason. I'm assuming because lines were changed late.
It wouldn't surprise me if more copies of Sailor Mouth are out there from different crew members, considering the infamy of this episode being made in the first place.
