WARNING: MAY CAUSE THREAD OP TO DISAPPEAR OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH
O-o-ok, I know... this is gonna be a bit controversial on my part, but it's a risky thing that I think could be at least be worth talking about... as long as things don't turn into bashing that one freakin' show all the time(which doesn't even represent the community in any way, shape, or form & only exists to fill "his" neverending ego, but that's for another site to deal with). We're not here to discuss that pile of filth.
Instead we'll be doing the better thing & talk about lost media made by LGBT+ people. Problem is I don't really seem to know any of them despite being a gay guy myself... or at least anything that isn't well, you know, porn or some yaoi material that isn't actually made by gay men but instead cishet girls for cishet girls, therefore technically not counting in that sense maybe? And I probably don't consider Seriously Dude, I'm Gay really much of an example considering that the gay men in that show were moreso judges(though it makes me wonder if any of the gay men they planned to be judges on the show didn't actually fit any of the usual stereotypes. That would be hilarious!).
So... are there any LGBT+ lost media out there that has at least been known/rumored to have existed at one point or something aside from those as well as what I myself created from before my Extreme Wreck 2000 years? Would be interesting to see what we managed to find out about on this thread.
Oh, about that Poisonroll original & HIM. We do not talk about that show, nor do we talk about that movie. Please keep discussion about those 2 things outta here because it's just gonna result in me saying nothing but stupid crap. Got it?

I don't think you have to worry about that. There are some crazy homophobes out there, but as long as you haven't posted any personal information with this account, I think you're safe.

Oh, about HIM. We do not talk about that movie.
Gotta say, I got confused about the subject of the thread x) You are looking for lost media discussing LGBTQ+ subjects made by openly LGBTQ+ people?
The only criteria OP specified was that it was made by LGBT+ people. He talked a bit about stuff he doesn't want to talk about, but without any further explanation on what he does want, I will take this as a thread on media by LGBT+ creators.

Oh yeah, thanks! I mean, all of it is music, but still better than nothing. I mean, speaking of which: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Py9ssNi5b74 www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPj64HMIXac Not sure if it's the case, but there could be some sort of connection to a gay/bi man singing these 2 songs or something like that. I myself wouldn't really know much considering this could be some British material, but it exists & I thought I'd mention it.
I know Caper In the Castro was lost for many years, but surfaced around 2017. That's the only I can think of that isn't music or... THAT movie that we, again, shall not talk about here.

To be fair, it's easier to point out music related lost media because there's generally a major face of the media itself. When it comes to movies or shows, it becomes harder since a lot of people work on those, so do you count media where the director is LGBTQ+? The actors? The voice actors? The producers? The artistic directors? Ect... It's even harder when it comes to video games where there are hundreds of people involved.
But I like the premise! I will do my best to look into it.

Actually I think it's harder for different reasons: mainly because back then, you had somewhat of an opportunity to make your own movies & video games with the right equipment, essentially think indie games & movies with literally little to no budget to them. Caper In the Castro is an example of that being the case. Plus, back in even the 90s they were likely to just become very obscure, especially if said LGBT+ person lived in IDK, Vermont of all states? Or maybe Japan considering their rather ummm... questionable stance with LGBT+ marriage? With this in mind, it would be rather commonplace for them to just slowly disappear afterwards.
Now as for movies & TV shows, that's kind of tricky because ones that are created by LGBT+ people are usually made around these recent times(2010s-present), but ones that existed beforehand(likely direct-to-video for the movies & the TV shows being publicaccess ones) are very much likely to be incredibly difficult to find even basic information on(the 2 links aren't examples of LGBT+ TV shows, they're just showcases of some weird public access shows).

You know, even after 2 days, & despite the sheer amount of LGBT+ content that still exists, there really aren't any leads to start off at. It's like we're not gonna find anything surrounding any kind of LGBT+ lost media, let alone actually having that material be found at all.
There is one lost LGBTQ show I can think of, it was a web-exclusive series in the late 90s that was distributed by DEN(Digital Entertainment Network) called Chad's World(which notable for featuring Sean-William Scott), this is all I could find of it:Chad's World
That show and every other show distributed by DEN became lost when their website went defunct in the 2000s, oon after that the producer Marc-Collins Rector ended up getting convicted for various crimes against minors and ended up fleeing the country, you can read about that here:link

Okay now I feel like I'm lost again x) Correct me if I'm wrong, none on the cast or the directing team is a known LGBTQ member. Which is what I find quite hard in this search since, as I understood, OP is not looking for LGBTQ+ lost media but Lost media made/featuring LGBTQ+ members... Or are we looking for both?

Yeah we're looking for lost media MADE by LGBTQ+ people.

I know, I brought it up because Marc also wrote it and he's gay.
Thanks. Sound interesting & they are the kind of stuff that would be talked about on this thread, but not something I would consider watching much or listening to in terms of the latter. RuPaul is a bit too... draggy for my tastes, you know what I'm saying? Plus, people in general who just act all campy annoy me, despite being a gay man myself who did cosplay as ChaCha for Halloween last year(and even then, I mainly acted like the character instead of going campy).
