Real quick, what NY/NJ area TV subscription in ca. 2011 had Nick Jr. as Channel 256?
The reason I ask is because on that station, on like channel 253 or 254, there was this bizarre TV program that was simply titled "War". At least that's how I remember it; I probably garbled the title because searching it up seems to turn up no results. The title was definitely pretty short, that I remember confidently.
Whatever its title was, this show's content was bizarre, because there seemed to be no plot, and the title didn't fit it at all. just images of like... playing cards with tall and thin cartoon characters on them, facing forwards (towards the viewer) enclosed inside bubbles? and separate bubbles? all against a pink background? Since the show was called "War" I assumed they were like soldiers or something. They looked kind of like the kings queens and jacks on playing cards, maybe? IDK if they were even standard playing cards. IIRC that was the show, I don't remember seeing end credits in the text etc.
A similar "content-free" show would not be unprecedented, and one example would be Hopla (e.g. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ir5AJY7r2WM). But don't get confused, the art style of this "War" show I'm talking about was NOTHING like Hopla; Hopla is 3D, and "War" would be more like, uh, Fairly Oddparents? Or Total Drama? In CHARACTER DESIGN, that is. Much, MUCH less scenery, than Fairly Oddparents and Total Drama.
The bg music was like cartoonish samba... and I distinctly remember that it was in Ab major (I have absolute/perfect pitch), and in 2/4 or 4/4. Closest song I can think of is the Maya and Miguel theme song (but that's in G major - F major - G major). Maybe also the song "We Like to Party" by Vengaboys?
I'm sorry if I'm rambling especially with how bizarre this whole thing sounds. Did I, like, dream this?
I am unbelievably late on this but I have the answer to your first question in the post hopefully it helps a little bit. Im in NJ and had Verizon Fios tv and nick jr was channel 256 and regular nickelodeon was 252 but I don't remember what was in between them besides teen nick which was 255. Im not sure how much the channel numbers change but My family still has the same tv service so I could check what channel is between those now if you want!
