There wouldn't be a reason to delete or lock the thread if people didn't post nonsense in it. It's like what's been said by users in other threads- unless you have something insightful to say don't say anything at all.
To this day I still feel like this topic got the short end of the stick, nobody took it seriously back when it first showed up and now so long has passed the little progress that is attempted is overshadowed by jokes. Though I appreciate the users that did try to get an answer one way or another like generalironbeak and TheRandomMan12345 and others.
For the record I do not necessarily think this is real but wanted some kind of answer from someone who worked on the show or at PBS, beyond the fact that "it sounds fake it must be". And I really believe that the effort put into this topic is far from the quality that even Saki Sanobashi got so I'll always feel bitter about it because of that.
But then again I guess I'm not one to talk about that because I haven't had the time to really look into it for as much as I preach about it.

As far as I can remember the only really nonsensical post in this thread was that one Brazil joke.
There have already been searches for the program or the channel in listings from the Cincinnati area, and they haven't turned up anything. You might want an answer from somebody from the studio just to get closure, but for most of the rest of us, the story isn't corroborated by any external evidence, and therefore isn't worth the exertion of any additional effort.

well cookie sneak became a joke and as funny as it was it ruined the search

What's with people on here thinking jokes interfere with the search, or something?

well i think the jokes made people start taking this search less and less seriously. i think an alleged caillou rebranding sounds awesome and i was siked for the search. it was really disappointing when it got derailed.

Like I said, you could have stepped in to contribute to the search at any time. But it's clear this searchs biggest supporters care more about how cool the concept of this media existing is more than actually trying to search for it
"oooh, you're a- a freaked out child in the woods..."

Yeah, I'm sure that if us skeptics didn't post anything everybody else would have thought this was real and devoted their full effort towards finding it.

I mean, for what it's worth, I did try to ask around and see if there could be anything we could go off of. PBS was kind of a longshot anyways since it was common knowledge they didn't own rights to the show anymore, but I still thought it'd be worth looking into. Unless someone else here has semi-insider access to staff for PBS stations in Southwest Ohio or Southern Indiana, I don't think we're really going to get anywhere if I'm being quite honest.
I'll admit that I indulged in the jokes a little myself. I think people started joking less because they don't want to take this seriously and more because there's just nothing to really go off of but conversation is still occurring, but anything that keeps eyes glued to a topic is a good thing in my opinion.

Yes of course can't have anyone taking their eyes off the "charlie version of caillou" can we?
Could be real, could be not real. Nobody knows for sure until someone sees a search and works to get something found. That's generally how lost media goes, is it not?
