nickelodeon lost media when it comes to lost media really the first that comes to mind is spongebob related lost media or nickelodeon lost media and i get so sick of it since its so common it gets old real fast for me and i bet alot of people the same way
dubs ive talked to some people who looking for dubs in their countries and i dont really even see the appeal of it. i dont see the point of it all when you can just have someone do a redub of it.
any animated show really even if you give me that nostalgia excuse i dont see much worth in finding such animated shows that most likely arent that good to begin with. its really ashame too since this kind of lost media overshadows over other types of lost media.
but for dubs, what if one of the voice actors die? and plus there would be no way to redub without the voice actor who died
thats true but i still dont find much foreign dubs to be good in the first place anyways. not all of them mind you just the ones ive seen are mostly meh or bad
For some reason I was thinking of the Nice & Soft bathroom tissue ads with the stop-motion naked child in the sun hat. I mean, yeah, I remember them, but I don't feel particularly nostalgic for them, especially since I thought they were sickeningly cutesy (especially the baby voice the voice actress was affecting) at the time, and doubt my opinion has changed. Besides, I don't want to be put on a watch list for searching for them. Better to let that memory just die.

I'm kind of inclined to agree with some people on here about cartoon lost media. I love Nickelodeon/Cartoon Network lost media as much as anyone else, but it is a little frustrating when that takes up so much scope on LMW. Especially for more miscellaneous things such as bumpers, ad breaks, promos, etc. Like how would we go on about organizing these cleanly?
Lost video games, especially beta builds, seem like a Herculean task because those are prone to deletion. Also given how sensitive development material is in the gaming industry I doubt many developers are willing to share even if they wanted to.
Here's one that I don't get though - YouTube lost media from 2015 to present. I understand the desire to find old lost YouTube videos from the 2000s, but I see so many threads, articles, and requests for stuff from about 2017 or even 2019-2021 and I'm like "what?". It feels outside the scope to organize a search effort for a YouTube video that was deleted in 2018-2022.
But at the end of the day this is a subjective question. What I find particularly interesting would probably get shrug from others on here, and that's what makes this site cool. Everyone's allowed to bring awareness to their topic, write and research about it, and organize a search effort.

I'm trying to find a deleted Youtube video from 2012 myself.
Any unreleased/cancelled films. Don’t get me wrong, if they could be found by us, that would be a damn miracle, but the legal consequences that could follow, as well as how many people could get blacklisted from the industry for this kind of stuff getting leaked would be far too risky for these to ever be worth finding on our own, as much as I hate to say it, and wish things were different. The only way we’ll ever see films like B.O.O, Larrikins, Batgirl, Scoob! Holiday Haunt or Big Bug Man is if someone anonymously leaks them.
Perhaps I just don't understand the appeal, but I personally don't get The Big Star Secret? It's just another screamer, though perhaps the significance of it comes from the tantalizing glimpses in reaction videos.

Same here, I don't think screamers and YTPs in general are worth huge search efforts. Also most commercials.

Lost ads except for especially historic ones (think BULOVA WATCH TIME, the first commercial on Shanghai TV, advertisements from the final years of the USSR) aren't really worth it.
Most sports games. I can understand why wanting a recording that's been lost is historic, and it's great if its found, but I just find most sporting events to be dull and boring to the extreme.
People who chase after certain media like HD versions of stuff that's been commercially available in SD for decades at this point. It's interesting if it was on an HD channel and recorded as such, but it's clear that a lot of things weren't meant to be in HD without a lot of money put into rerendering and rescanning (looking at you, Babylon 5). This is coming from someone with a lot of off air WVHS and DVHS tapes. (Mostly concert films, some documentaries) (very little American TV since it's mostly Japanese stuff)
TV test cards/idents. No, I don't really care if a BBC ident is "lost" for the most part as long as there's a photograph of it somewhere. Yes, it would be interesting to have an off air recording of TV Leningrad from 1938 showing the ident but there are photographs of this. I say this as someone who used to love to engage in analogue TV DXing.
A lot of stuff off Nickelodeon as long as the programming is available in some form or another somewhere. I'm not talking about stuff that doesn't seem to be around anymore like the 1980s programming and even pre Nick QUBE stuff. I'm talking about stuff like TV shows that are easily available on DVD or streaming.
Game shows. It's not just that I find them boring, it's that I find them to be extremely ephemeral. But that's my own personal taste and I can understand why people would be interested in them. We all love Alex Trebek and Bob Barker.
I'm inclined to agree with this. I do get the nostalgia for 2000s and early 2010s YouTube, but a jump scare gaming hoax video isn't exactly at the top of my priorities.
