What lost media simply isn't worth the effort?

-Tapes where someone dies. I get the intrigue, but I think it's unnecessary to try and find it when it has been purposely locked away by the family's request.

-Johnny Bravo's pilot. I do wanna see it, but I just get this vibe that Van Partible never intended to share it with others. I could be wrong, it could be a copyright thing, but he has made a point to say "I don't plan on sharing it" and that feels more personal to me. People think if that's the case he's embarrassed by quality, but I personally think the humor in it maybe didn't age well? I mean it was originally a college film made only for his professor's eyes and not meant as a pitch in the early 90s....and as a creator myself, I totally get why he wouldn't want to share it. Maybe he thinks it's bad for the IP or something, or maybe it is copyright issues who knows. Either way, unless he changes his mind, we're probably not seeing it.

Edit: I'd feel differently about the pilot if it had already aired, this is something that was never meant for public viewing imo.

I find it weird that footage of people dying is such a common topic in lost media. Liveleak and similar sites mean death and gore aren't hard to come by if you want to watch it for some reason. It also feels really gross for people to seek it out when the dead person's family has made it clear that they don't want it found. Let them grieve and stop digging around for Christine Chubbuck's suicide tape or the Grizzly Man's death audio.

I can understand the interest in notable beta versions of games or dubs of shows if you're already a fan of that piece of media. Dragon Ball had a particularly hilarious dub where Piccolo was renamed to "Big Green" and some betas give a great insight into the development process of a game. They aren't really fully lost media though in my opinion since the un-dubbed show and the released version of the game still exist.


Beyond these, I can't think of anything I'd consider a "waste of time". I'm not at all interested in vintage porn or the dozens of defunct MMOs, but they are at least legitimate pieces of media intended for the general public. I doubt many people are as interested in undocumented self-released albums as I am, lol.

nickelodeon lost media
when it comes to lost media really the first that comes to mind is spongebob related lost media or nickelodeon lost media and i get so sick of it since its so common it gets old real fast for me and i bet alot of people the same way 

dubs
ive talked to some people who looking for dubs in their countries and i dont really even see the appeal of it. i dont see the point of it all when you can just have someone do a redub of it. 


any animated show really 
even if you give me that nostalgia excuse i dont see much worth in finding such animated shows that most likely arent that good to begin with. its really ashame too since this kind of lost media overshadows over other types of lost media.

but for dubs, what if one of the voice actors die? and plus there would be no way to redub without the voice actor who died
