Part of me still wonders if the “Airplane” commercial used the “male demon voice” from some of the radio ads.
Based on what we know from the sightings read about elsewhere, it seems like the flight attendant is a woman as well.
the reddit sighting about the airplane variant describes the person on the diet as a businessman wearing a brown suit. i imagine that was who allthat was talking about.

it's from a recording during entertainment tonight (which aired at 6:30pm) on KXXV, on february 28, 2001. february-march 2001 is the most likely timeframe for the airplane variant to have aired. here is a timeframe:
- FEB. 28: The baby shower variant airs on KXXV. - MAR. 9: The baby shower variant airs on WBBM. - APR. 1: A Google Groups post mentions the airplane variant and says it recently aired.
thanks to dycaite for bringing this up in the discord server!
also, i find it interesting that both known recordings of the commercial were during Entertainment Tonight. i wonder if they may have sponsored the show? that's pure speculation, though.

What if the airplane version gets found in another commercial break uploaded to YouTube like, 10 years ago?
When they first announced on r/lostmedia that the baby shower variant was found right under our noses like that, it was sorta anticlimactic.
I was expecting a big long search for it, but it turned out to be really simple with how it was found.
I mean, it's pretty much how most of us expected to find it in the first place given how most of the time had been spent scouring breaks anyway. The Jorge video just gave it that little bit of extra attention it needed for someone to find it, because at the time we were working with a five year estimated period and hundreds if not thousands of uploads.
i have an update to bring to you (thanks to jphn on our discord server for finding this!)
the ad agency behind these ads might be crispin porter + bogusky. this article (https://www.adweek.com/brand-marketing/rexall-parts-crispin-porter-bogusky-53616/) says the company made ads for rexall-sundown (carb solutions' parent company) from 2000 to 2001.
hopefully something will come out of this! i can taste the snack mix!
