I've not been searching for a while due to other priorities, but it seems like I've stumbled upon the office advert that the dude replying to my RBI thread mentioned. It's not for Special K after all, but it does seem like we've got a contender here for a potential brand. Doesn't match the baby shower commercial, but I can definitely see them having tried something like that a few years earlier:
After reading through this thread, I'm shocked that this commercial hasn't popped up in disturbing ad complimations on YouTube. One person did describe seeing it on the computer though, I wonder this commercial ever made it's way onto the internet for being super creepy?
Yeah, that part is stumping me too. I wonder if it circulated online at the time, a bit like how the K-Fee ads became a meme in the 2000s?
That's what I was thinking, it would explain why so many people have seen it. It reminds me of that weird jump scare car commercial from back in the day, I think it initially aired in Europe and then made it's way all around the internet for being creepy. But I used to watch complimation videos of scary commercials/PSAs and I don't remember it myself, but I suppose it could have been not as viral as some others.

yeah, that scary car commercial IS the k-fee commercial - that’s proof that people remember the jumpscare, but not even what was being sold; something similar is probably happening with this protein demon commercial.

Oh wow! Yeah so this "protein bar" commercial could really be anything. Maybe looking for "scary babyshower commercial" would yield better results.

This showed up as a result on archive.org, but it's 45 minutes long, which would take quite a bit of time & plus I can't do it on my phone, & I have nothing else to use for that. Any volunteers?

I'll take a look when I can. Even reading through the tags is a lot, this person was very thorough with tagging

this does seem like it could have it on there - the time frame is exactly when it was seen. i'll quickly look through it.

one of the many tags is "suburban mom" - i remember someone saying the commercial featured two mom-looking ladies sitting on a couch.
