One Piece Film Red, only showtime was at 11pm but I say it was worth it you know the animation is stunning but the music went hard. 10/10 would watch again.
Since one way or another it kept some how finding it's way in front of my eyes I finally watched Iron Giant and it was literally so amazing! I am so blessed by all my life choices that have led me to this moment

Jingle All The Way.
Weird Christmas movie that's carried by over the top hammy acting of Sinbad, Ah-nold, and Phil Hartman. Apparently a lot of Sinbad's and Hartman's lines were ad libbed, which makes the movie make a little more sense.

O Brother Where Art Thou.
I wish I was more familiar with The Odyssey so I could see the specific parallels it drew from, but it was still a delight nonetheless to see after a friend added it to a watchlist she made me last year. I struggled for a bit trying to pinpoint where I recognized a few actors from, but when I did it made the experience all the more enjoyable; like Tim Blake Nelson (Holes) and John Turturro (The Big Lebowski). The cast was stellar, as was the soundtrack and seeing certain characters get their comeuppance was great.

The Menu.
A friend wrote a review on it not that long ago and I put it to the back of my mind to fully read whenever I got around to it. I knew I was going see it eventually, but I wasn't sure when or where with how streaming platforms are. Prior to this, I was expecting say, something like my idea of what Midsommar is like (Yeah, still haven't seen it yet, for shame) but with cannibalism.
After the first 20 or so minutes, I was well invested to see where this was going to go, as the characters (mainly the guests and Chef Slowik) seemed to be a glaring, biting, meta-commentary about the vapid shallowness of influencer and clout culture, the lifestyle of ignorant bliss and excess of the rich, and the pompous, soullessness of pretentious artists and the culture around it. It seemed way, way too on the nose and it could have gone south as badly as the obnoxious, annoying and insufferable take of influencers in the Netflix Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie (y'know "you're so gonna get canceled" before Leatherface pummels you on a bus).
A review on Letterboxd sent the message home for me that I came across while I was watching the film, and it made so much more sense to see everything spiral out of control that way. The film is a meta commentary on all those things, but this? This sells it and once you peel it all back, it's absolutely in your face. I'd absolutely watch this again.

I for one really enjoyed the TCM remake's take on them, god knows i've certainly come across plenty of influencers exactly like that in real life.

Big Money Rustlas. Insane Clown Posse does a Western comedy. This is not something you watch if you want to think. The jokes are not as subtle by far as Blazing Saddles. It is, however, a hilarious movie especially if you know what you're in for.

A Wrinkle in Time (2018). I saw it when it first came out but since I read the book recently I wanted to give it another go. I guess it’s not a horrible movie but I wish it could have been closer to the book.
