- didn't like it, the acting wasn't good and the script needed some work. I only have a surface level understanding of the games, so I was probably not even the target audience.
The Banana Splits
- Didn't like it that much, not a fan of the gore.
Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken
- Underwhelming but inoffensive. It feels half baked, like there are ideas and concepts there but there is no depth. It definitely feels like a poorman's Turning Red (and I wasn't even a fan of that film either). Tho, there is nothing horrible in it and I think it's fine if you just want to have your kid watch a movie just for the sake of watching a movie.
Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey
- It's so horrible, I couldn't finish it
Candyman (1992)
- OK, this movie was really good.
Strongly disagree on Blood and Honey, had a blast with that one and think you should finish it(how far did you get out of curiosity?) also really dug Banana Splits Movie, it already did the FNAF premise so well(as did Willy's Wonderland which I highly recommend)that it felt like there was really no need for an actual FNAF film, which is just crappy watered down PG-13 garbage loaded with lame jump scares.

I did enjoy Willy's Wonderland more than FNAF, it wasn't a great film but I would rather rewatch it over FNAF.
Yeah, no. I am not finishing the Pooh film. I got half way through and was just bored.

I will say there is some pretty cool shit that happens later on, won't spoil anything in case you change your mind.
Now I'll be honest and say that I have never watched it or at least not in its entirety, or in English. I remember getting up to the brachiosaurus scene but nothing past that on this Spanish movie channel that aired it late at night when I was a kid.
But after watching the movie I think it was pretty good although the CGI definitely hasn't aged that well, what I really liked were the practical effects that made the dinosaurs feel so real.

As far as 90s films go I think it had better CGI then some of others. I definitely recommend the sequels(yes even the most recent one). That reminds me, I really need to get around to rewatching this myself, it's been ages since i've last seen it.
Strays(2023): Hilarious R-rated send up of talking animal films(there's a funny recurring gag about another dog narrating and the main characters taking the piss out of him), Will Ferrell and Jamie Foxx make for a great pair. So many funny moments, not just from the dogs swearing but from them also being baffled and confused by humans and other things(including one bit where they get scared by fireworks)but surprisingly the film also does haves serious moments and they actually do work pretty well. Reggie's owner Doug is suitably unlikable and thankfully he gets his in a very satisfying manner(topped off with a brilliant use of Miley Cyrus "Wrecking Ball"). This film works well whether you love talking animal films or can't stand them, I definitely wouldn't mind seeing a sequel to this.
Digimon 02 the Beginning. Was eh. Very misleading ads IMO. Some people have called it a mid tier Tri movie and I could agree. Movie was bait and switch that focused on some new main character, and ACTUAL 02 cast was sidelined to tell new MC's story. Some would argue that's what Tri did too, but at least Tri had multiple "movies/OVAs" of material so we actually got to see and spend time with the main cast outside of Meiko. I mean the actual MC story itself isn't terrible, it's just the false advertising that did it to me.
Saw the barbie movie, honestly gonna say I was pretty disappointed. I heard many good things about this movie and its message, and while the message is done alright, I don't think the movie or the message was as spectacular as it was built up by people online. The movie overall was "just okay". Good boredom watch but nothing more.
Some other movies I've seen recently-ish (but not as recent as barbie, saw them late last month):
Unknown movie about metor hitting earth - 0/5 Terrible movie,I thought for several hours all the things that made it bad. The moment you think its gonna end, it keeps going. It does the sin of telling and not showing for one of the movie's arcs. Just not good, wish I knew the name of it but I caught it midway through it's opening act and was too lazy to change channels while doing other stuff in the background.
Be kind rewind - 5/5 One of the few movies that combines humor and heart really well. A very hilarious love letter to homemade movies, bootlegs, and small town culture.
Men in black - 2/5 The entire time i was thinking "this was a phenonom?" The thing is just kinda slow despite all the cool aliens. Really its best aspect is the special effects, which mostly have aged pretty well, but effects =/= good movie for me.
Seabiscuit - 3/5 Mehhh not into horses. Pretty much roped in to seeing it. Interesting to see Toby Mcguire in a non-spiderman movie though.
Click - 5/5
Some jokes haven't aged well, but it still manages to break my heart into pieces every time I see it.
Dennis the mennace - 2/5 Good turn off the brain movie, not much else

You know, that could get an unidentified media post of its own if you ever feel like making it.

Finally, someone else who actually enjoyed Dominion.

Five Nights at Freddy's - I think it was confusing. Aladdin (2019) - I think it was plain awful. Spider-Man (2002) - I think it is a must-watch. Pokemon 2000 - Loved it as a child, still love it now. Napoleon - meh!!!

Yeah I never got the hate for it, I think critics went in expecting way too much.

Yeah. I remember when I first saw it in the theater. Great time.
I also remember when the extended cut was announced, and the fans expectations were just… completely unreasonable. I mean, people were expecting shit like the spino, entirely new dinosaur encounters, stuff like that.
Honestly, they kinda set themselves up for disappointment. I’m sorry, but that’s just not how extended cuts work. You can’t just film entirely new footage.
In terms of the extended cut though, I do personally think it’s a superior film to the theatrical cut. I think Colin Trevorrow even confirmed the extended cut is the canon version.
I still was surprised when the extended cut was announced. A franchise first-time.
John Wick (first time): - 8/10 - Pacing issues - Real emotion - Great action - Great setpieces - Cute puppy - (spoiler: WHY DID THEY KILL HIS DOG LIKE 3 MINUTES AFTER HE GOT IT?!)
Tangled (rewatch): - 10/10 - “You are my new dream” is such a beautiful line - Actual banger songs, like sheeesh how are they this good? - I See the Light may or may not just be one of, if not the BEST Disney song ever made. - holy shit zachary levi is great at singing - Better anniversary film then Wish. I wish Wish didn’t exist.
Encanto (rewatch): - 10/10 - I’m convinced modern Disney didn’t make this film because there is no way they put out a masterpiece during a time where they made crappy films, then immediately made even more crappy films - Mirabel is a great protagonist, like seriously - Every single person in the family feels fleshed out just enough - Literally every single song in this film is an absolute banger, like I’m not even joking. - the house has a better personality then every single comedic relief character in modern disney COMBINED. - ending felt kinda rushed ngl - Bruno needed an apology man, imagine being neglected and having to hide in the walls for 10 years, eating scraps and painting a fake plate on a piece of wood just so you can pretend you’re still part of the family and not even getting a “sorry” from everyone?!
Whisper of the Heart (first time): - 9/10 - Pacing issues - Why is “Take me home, country roads” here? - Great chemistry between 2 leads I forget the names of still - The girl main lead is pretty great apart from some anger issues that don’t really get a resolution or anything - The boy secondary lead is great but kinda just randomly went from being a jerk to being nice without that great of a flow - The old man is amazing - The writing in regards to well uhh, the writing the girl does is so well done. - The random kind-of-musical-number-but-not-really part is really sweet - Adding that topaz quote thingy the old man said to the list of inspirational quotes that’ll randomly pop-up in my head
