Didn't like it, mostly found it boring and I didn't connect with any of the characters. It was better than Onward.
I enjoyed both personally, way better then The Good Dinosaur at any rate(why was Newt cancelled instead of that one?)
I think the visuals and world building is better in Onward. I also liked the mom and sort of wish she was the main character instead of the brothers. There were plot stuff that annoyed me, that is why I don't like it. While with Elemental, it was just so meh that if I had to rewatch it with a child I won't be offended or anything.
The 6th Man(1997): Another one of those movies I saw ads for as a kid that it took me ages to get around to seeing. In this case it was one of the movies previewed on my tape for the remake of That Darn Cat. As far as sports comedies go this one was pretty good, Kadeem Hardison and Marlon Wayans both make for a great team and the film has some effective emotional moments, though there is a bit of a whiplash effect with Antoine doing a lot of random shenanigans once he comes back from the dead as a ghost to help the team make a comeback in the tournament. But most of the humor does work, like most of the scenes where Kenny is talking to ghost Antoine and everyone else reacts about as strangely to it as you'd expect, with one scene in the men's room in particular getting a laugh(and that scene is one of the main reasons for the film's PG-13 rating, that and an f-bomb being dropped)The film does occasionally drag at times though and the romantic subplot is a tad underdeveloped, but I did like that the rest of the team actually finds out about ghost Antoine before the third act which is a nice change of pace from these other types of films. Overall I had a decent time with this film and i'm glad I finally got around to seeing it.
I mainly watched it because of Robocop's interactions with other characters in MK11 but after watching it I really liked it since it was one of those old science fiction and action films that has a certain charm to it.
Humor wise, I think it's pretty decent with my favorite being the scene where the ED-209 struggles to walk down stairs and struggles to get back up when it falls down, though it is first and foremost an action movie and it definitely delivers.
My only complaint is that I wish it could've been a bit longer as I was actually enthralled with the story and wanted to see more action, something you'd expect from a film about a robot cop. VFX was nice and despite being made as a result of technical limitations, I really liked the stop-motion approach they took when it came to the ED-209.
Not very good! Both movies were really slow, some scenes were disturbing and the plot twist was very obvious. The only good thing was the movie sets and costumes.
I believe the last movie I saw was Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning. I still can't believe that film flopped because of the spat between Paramount and Tom Cruise. Considering how it was really good, it's a shame it was also swept under for Barbenheimer.
wuuuuaaaat!? it flopped?! lunacy!
I even did my part by watching it twice. Luckily it was shot back to back with part 2. Oppenheimer was boring.

it didn't really "flop" like say Morbius did, it just didn't make as many hundreds of millions as the studio was hoping for.

A flop is a flop. If they invest so many more hundreds of millions into a movie it is expected it pulls so many more tens of millions people into the theater. However, it’s budget was bloated by COVID-19 issues and they had to move the set multiple times.

Eh not really, Moviebob accurately pointed out in a video that there's a world of difference between an outright flop like Gigli and just a disappointing performing film like say Eternals.

Albeit studios are rapidly losing their ability to discern one from another in this entertainment climate
"oooh, you're a- a freaked out child in the woods..."
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem- I have to say I was bit skeptical about this one with the unusual animation style and the radically different change to Splinter's character(he's not Hamato Yoshi or his pet, he's just some random rat that happened to come across the turtles when the ooze fell on them)but I have to say as the film went on it really won me over as the art style is pretty good looking in it's own right(even though I personally do prefer the style of the 2007 film)and I liked the unique take on the turtles caring more about being accepted by humans then about being ninja masters. I was thrown for a loop with all of the modern pop culture references(even the live-action Bay films didn't have this many)and was especially surprised at the inclusion of live-action footage of actual movies like Ferris Buehler's Day Off and Enter the Dragon but it worked for the story it was trying to tell. As for Splinter he did grow on me with his new origin and backstory and character arc of distrusting humans but eventually learning to tolerate them after seeing the villain Superfly(voiced well by Ice Cube)having a similar and more extreme attitude to his own and I liked that the turtles were able to sway the other mutants over to their side and I liked the film invoked the 2002 Spider-Man film by having the humans step in to help the turtles save the day. Also loved the hip-hop soundtrack and the voice-acting in general, there was some great humor in this one(especially with April's adorable geekiness and shyness, BTW fuck those online trolls bitching about April being "fat and unattractive"). One complaint I do have is that the dialogue is mixed a bit clumsily and is a bit too quiet at times which is kind of a problem in a film where characters kind of have a habit of talking over one another and making it difficult to make it what's being said without subtitles(kind of glad I didn't see this in theaters for that reason as I could imagine being lost without them)still overall I had a great time with this one and can't wait to see what their take on Shredder is in the sequel.
Re-Animated(2006): Honestly I don't get why this film has so many low ratings when there's so much out there, I like the animated characters and I think the acting is mostly fine(I especially like Robin, she's so adorable and funny, I was bummed that her and Craig got changed in the series as their actors there aren't as good, not sure why they got changed from Asian to black)Sonny is a pretty entertaining and over-the-top villain and I like how oblivious Jimmy's dad is to his evil plan's and how his alien sister Yancy(who also has some funny moments)just orders him around. Also great soundtrack, not a great film but a fun one nonetheless.
Finally got around to seeing the Air Bud Direct to Video sequels World Pup, Seventh Inning Fetch and Spikes Back. Not sure why I didn't see them as a kid, I ended up enjoying them all overall, I liked the increased focus that Josh's sister Andrea and her best friend Tammy got, their friendship was pretty cute and I found Andrea pretty compelling and she was the right choice for focus in the latter two films. Also liked Josh's girlfriend in World Pup. It's too bad the franchise went in a different direction with the "Buddies" series (which made Buddies offpsring suddenly talk and focused more on them and their crazy antics then the Framm family unfortunately, they're not bad or anything but I just don't have that nostalgic connection to them like I do the others)
- didn't like it, the acting wasn't good and the script needed some work. I only have a surface level understanding of the games, so I was probably not even the target audience.
The Banana Splits
- Didn't like it that much, not a fan of the gore.
Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken
- Underwhelming but inoffensive. It feels half baked, like there are ideas and concepts there but there is no depth. It definitely feels like a poorman's Turning Red (and I wasn't even a fan of that film either). Tho, there is nothing horrible in it and I think it's fine if you just want to have your kid watch a movie just for the sake of watching a movie.
