I keep thinking about that Saki Sanobashi recreation that’s from team saki, I can’t find any updates, promotional material, or even anything pointing towards a cancelled. I mainly wanted to know about because I really want to see saki in real life, but I can’t find anything regarding the creation of the recreation or anything else except that it is a real thing, so I thought I would ask for some help, I would like it if you also provide links to articles or something, well this was a pretty long post for my standards...uh...bye! (I didn’t know how to end that)

Check r/sakisanobashi for updates.
It's more or less been (sort of) confirmed as not existing, but I know there are still some people who take what the Redditor who claims to be the original 4chan poster alledges with a grain of salt. However, there's been plans to recreate it based on the description - be it live-action or animation. I keep hearing about some group or collective from Indonesia who is apparently going to do the subtitles, but it's been radio silence. It's a bit of a mess at the moment, but that's your homework assignment for the day.

Thanks man! But...do I need to do the homework?
It was more of a joke, but keep tabs on the sub for updates.
just browsed it and GOOD GOD! Are they desperate in proving that saki doesn’t exist. Well I’m gonna clear my head with a question to YOU! Did you also first discover saki from the Whang! Video?

No. Joined the search before the Whang! video on the topic and left it shortly after it came out. It became fairly clear to me after a while that someone took bits and pieces of various existing anime, put them together, and called it "Go for a Punch". Whether it was for a joke or it was sincere faulty memory, we will never know for sure. Every lead that was explored became exhausted fairly quickly, and it was eventually safe to assume that Saki didn't exist. I literally just took a glimpse at the subreddit and wow, people are still? looking for this?! I thought this was a case closed forever ago.

I thought that too, but the subreddit is still fairly active - even if it's a garbage fire. But, I will say though that if they're serious about someone working on adapting it, then I'm interested in seeing how that turns out.

As a new update or aside, there's a new sub on Saki at /r/SakisanNoBashitsu/ that's more straight forward and less shitposting and memeworthy as the original Saki sub.
I only found out about this one yesterday, but the main discussion there is regarding the recreation and actual efforts to continue searching for it via other rare, obscure, and dark / xxx anime outlets since it could very well exist and the OP on Reddit never gave actual proof that he was the same user on 4chan and many people agree that there's holes in his account as well. Could it still be a hoax, sure. But, could it really be a thing? Probably. The most recent post went up yesterday confirming one of their leads for the search is legitimate, so that's reassuring.
Regardless, I'm still interested in seeing what the final outcome is even if it means we'll be waiting for a while for a faithful recreation.
