Since this thread was last active, the entire series was added to Disney+, so it’s not lost media anymore, although given how streaming services have shown they’re not beyond removing content they own, someone should make sure they’re all saved.
I was a huge PB&J Otter fan - accidentally came across this show in early 2003 when it ran as a German dub on Super RTL channel, I loved it & loved that Jelly Otter character. First I was recording episodes of it on VHS but then ended up with about 52 episodes on DVDs by 2009 when they stopped airing it. I went online & met other fans of this show, almost no one had these episodes or there barely were a few (original English ones) recorded. In 2008 I met a certain someone called CDCB (CDCB2 on Youtube, Christian Bajusz on Facebook) who is a big fan of Playhouse Disney & all classic Disney shows & was recording/collecting stuff from VHSes. But his collection of PB&J Otter from back then was lost. But getting friends with this CDCB payed off soon - when PB&J Otter returned to Disney Junior in September 2012 - CDCB recorded EVERY EPISODE of it via TiVo & as a sign of trust, shared them with me (I promised not to give them away behind his back). So basically I had all 65 episodes of PB&J Otter in original language (each episode was as a ~260 MB mp4 file, 30 mins long, with commercials before & after it). Then CDCB found that some episode were put in "on demand" section in Disney Junior (which meant they are LOGO-FREE) & he was recording them too. Those were the highest possible quality original originals. CDCB shared many (can't remember how much & which) of these with me.
However, our friendship started to deteriorate & in 2015 there were no more talks about sharing more logo-free episodes. Eventually me & CDCB finally completely broke up & moved on each with own stuff. It was also the year when I stopped being a PB&J Otter fan because interest shifted towards other stuff, yet I had lots of PB&J Otter episodes, my own German dub recordings, all kinds of PB&J Otter-related stuff like song lyrics, episode transcripts, screenshots, my own drawings, etc - all that were so valuable earlier yet completely pointless now. As I was left with a bad feel about this show & how it affected my 12 years of life & that CDCB ex-friend, I started to slowly delete/remove/erase anything PB&J Otter I had. At one point I thought I maybe better just put these episodes in some Mega folder or etc for anyone to download, but I was in quite a mood that deleting anything would be the only option. So yeah, I deleted all episodes I had, including all 11 DVDs of my own ex-precious recordings. I felt a relief finally.
Soon I accidentally found some or many or all of these Disney Junior episodes were put online for download (don't remember it in details, but after reading the thread I do see someone mentioning Google disk & Splounge - probably it was that indeed). So I thought like whatever, all these episodes ended up online for anyone to download anyway, without me being involved. I didn't bother with downloading those, because why need, I didn't want to do anything with that show anymore. So moved on.
So! PB&J Otter episodes (original English ones & even some logo-free ones) are not completely lost. Some still have them. For sure CDCB has them all.I’m just curious, were you the one behind the Jelly Otter YouTube channel that was around in I think 2011? I remember that had a bunch of German episodes.
