was the disney jr website around then? if so, has the wayback machine archived any material?
Which Disney Junior website? Remember: Disney Junior (and its predecessor Playhouse Disney) had different websites per region.
Good point, although I’m not sure if we’d end up finding anything on there beyond a few clips anyway.
I might just try to do what Nogginoid said and try getting in contact with people who possibly own VHS recordings of the show since it’s our best bet until the show gets on Disney+.
Hi everyone. I’m back with a very important update, and I need your help.
So as I said in my previous post, I thought maybe I’d go ahead and follow Nogginoid’s advice.
I found someone on YouTube who I thought may have recordings of the show. (I’ll keep them anonymous in this post just in case.) I managed to get ahold of their email, and asked about them privately sharing digital captures of the episodes if they do have recordings.
Indeed, they have several DVD recordings of the show from when it reran on the Disney Junior channel in 2013, with each disc they have containing one episode. The bad news is that they can’t digitally capture the episodes and share them, at least for the time being, and the only way they can share the DVD recordings is by sending the physical DVDs to an address. I do not wish to share my address and also do not have a PO box. (I’m only 17.)
This is where I need help. If you are willing to help out and have the DVDs sent to your address, record the episodes, and share them, please private message me. I’ll provide you all the necessary information you’ll need, including the person’s email address so you can get in contact with them and work something out.
If anyone can do this for me, I’d be incredibly grateful. PB&J Otter is special to me, and I want to rescue the recordings from those DVDs before it’s too late.
Update: Nevermind. I managed to work something out and am now going to receive the DVDs by mail. Hopefully they arrive safely. Big thanks to the person who was generous to help out with this! : )
I do not have any way in which I can digitally capture recordings at the moment, but I’ll likely try to find a way to do so after I get the DVDs.
Awesome! Can't wait to see some of the missing PB&J Otter episodes! PB&J Otter was very special to me as a kid. Now if only we can get some of the missing Stanley episodes on the internet somehow too. Stanley is also very special to me and that was the one Playhouse Disney show that inspired me to love animals. There are so many episodes that haven't made it to the internet yet:
Bearly Awake/The Eagle Has Landed Watch Out for Lionels/Growing Pains Camel Commotion/There's Snow Place Like Home Whole Lotta Snakin' Going On Platypus Problems/Rabbit Habit Hippo Helpers/Where's Stanley? Penguin Party/Leave it to Beavers The Joker You've Got Pigeon Mail/It's a Prairie Dog's Life Remembering With Elephants Peekaboo Parrot Sea Lion Slip-Up Who's Afraid of Walter Wolf? The Tooth About Teeth Mockingbird Scat Proud as a Peacock Muddy Buddies The Robbing Raven/Flashlight Fireflies I Scream for Ice Cream To Catch a Hamster/Pearls of Wisdom Living With Leopards/A Chinese New Year A Turkey of a Thanksgiving The Way of the Buffalo/Follow That Falcon No News Like Shoe News/Ladybug, Ladybug Sheep and a Haircut and Stanley's Great Big Book of Everything Adventure
I'd be so very grateful if we can find someone who has any or all of these episodes and can somehow get these episodes onto the internet, especially since Stanley has not yet made it onto Disney Plus yet either. Who's with me?

Maybe you can hook a capture card to your DVD player?

What exactly is a capture card, and how would I hook it to the DVD player? (Also, just a side note, I don’t have a computer I could use at the moment.)
So yesterday the DVDs came. They’re copies of the original DVD recordings so the quality isn’t the best and it skips and glitches a lot depending on the DVD, but it’s amazing that they work at all, especially since there’s 24 DVDs! (One episode per DVD.) There appears to be a few episodes that are NOT on archive, so I’ll have to find a way to save the recordings sooner or later, but I’m unsure as to how to do that. Any help is appreciated.

Hey everyone! As some of us know, PB&J Otter is a pretty obscure Playhouse Disney series (This thread is all about it), and some episodes are missing, and not featured in the Archive.org collections by Luke Gregory. Well, back in 2013, I recorded TONS of PB&J Otter episodes from Disney Junior when it reran, using my DVD recorder. Well, I decided to put the ripped DVDs on Archive.org for preservation purposes, so I got all the DVDs out of my closet, ripped them as ISOs and converted them to MP4s, and uploaded both the ISO and MP4 versions to Archive.org. You can either just watch the MP4 versions directly on Archive.org and/or download them, or you can download the ISO image and burn it to a DVD if you want. I'd highly suggest that anyone who sees this downloads as much of the collection as they can, because even though in most cases copyrighted material will stay on Archive.org, there are some cases where the material WILL be taken down. I actually had my original Archive.org account terminated in early 2020 for uploading some of my Noggin tapes, and the same could happen for these PB&J Otter DVD rips, but I figured I should at least try to have these on Archive.org for as long as they stay up. Hopefully they won't get taken down ever, because I would like these to be preserved and enjoyed by everyone as long as possible. Nonetheless, I suggest everyone who wants to keep these preserved would download them and then share them in such circumstance, because if they get taken down, I might not be able to make another Archive.org account depending on the situation, and I can't privately share them as Google Drive links, because my Google Drive is too full, and I understand not everyone is willing to give me their address for physical DVD copies, or might not have a DVD drive for their computer to rip the discs with. That's why I decided to upload them to Archive.org. Without further ado, here they are!

Wow thanks! I remember watching this show a couple times, and I somewhat enjoyed it. I vividly remember that intro. Oh yeah, I really hope those recordings won't get taken down on the archives website. If they do, there is a backup plan... Have you tried using Google Photos? You can create an album and put all the mp4 recordings inside, and copy the link for the album and send it here.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Google Photos uses the same Google One storage as Google Drive, and since my Google Drive storage is full, I won't be able to do it that way, so I'd just suggest that someone else download all the videos and share them again on Google Photos in the event they do get taken down. Sorry.

Have you thought about uploading the episodes to Dailymotion? Goodbye Lake Hoohaw has been on there for years, so it’s probably safe.
In the event the Archive.org uploads are taken down, I might try that. Still, I'd highly advise anyone wanting to keep these recordings to download them and back them up. I already have my recordings backed up to several mediums for long-term storage, such as an external hard drive and M-Discs (DVDs and Blu-Rays that last 1000 years).

. Sorry.
I believe there's an unlimited storage option. Oh crap, I just realized that they're going to remove that feature in June. Btw, it's fine. Dailymotion or Vimeo would probably be plan B. I unfortunately can't download everything because it's going to take up a lot of storage on my laptop.
