Right, this one here is the real deal. It started popping of my head after hearing that a lot of black cats are named salem, so the name Salem might be connected to it. Or perhaps not and it just reminded me of witches, which consequently reminded me of this.
I clearly remember the show being set in a sort of dark town in which our two protagonist appear to live in.
The aforementioned protagonists i can easily describe as a young witch and her black cat, very much like sabrina the teenage witch, but the show clearly had nothing to do with sabrina as it was way more edgy and goth.
I must've been between 4 and 8 years old when my eyes caught it, which would put us between 2005 and 2009. I remember the show being stylish in the same way shows of it's time were. You know what im talking about. Big, thick, black outlines in everything (maybe done in adobe flash?).
But perhaps more telling is the grim aesthetic it had, which made sense given that it's protagonists were a witch and it's black cat.
The young witch, i seem to recall, wore all black clothes and had black hair, but this is not definitive since i i might be confusing with the metric shit ton of goth girl characters in other cartoons.
I also think there was urgency in avoiding the identity of the protagonist to be leaked to the town, as they clearly not like a witch among them. Them being specially against supernatural things and such.
As for actual episodes, the only thing i have is the vague though of her causing an angry mob of people with torches and pitchforks™ go to Frankensteins house over a hill and try to enter. This being her fault for some reason.
Then again, this might be once more my faulty memory grabbing something from somewhere else.
The only other thing thats connected to the couple of brain cells i've forcing this past few days is a fat kid and his mother, the kid being antagonized in the show perhaps. But then again, maybe not. Funny how memory works, huh?
So that's it. Very little to go off, so im not too hopeful about this, but if anyone seems to recall similar things that validate my memories, we might be onto something.
And who knows? maybe it's not lost media and it was like, the #1 cartoon in Denmark or something idk.
