The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (2004 manga)

with that, 2004 version of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya has been found.

I do believe thus truly lost again. I've read that it might possibly be on the BakaBT torrent tracker, and my account appears to have been pruned so I can't check. But I'm fairly certain I've exhausted every other option. Is anyone a member of BakaBT?

I've already checked AnimeBytes, archived dead links to manga reading sites, as well as nyaa, and it does not appear to be anywhere.

Something I've noticed upon researching this is that chapter 6-8 are very underreported on, with many sources not even acknowledging their existence.

The entire series appeared in the monthly magazine Shonen Ace throughout the year 2004. Chapter 1 premiered in the May 2004 issue, and subsequently one chapter was released each month. The last chapter, chapter 8, was in the December 2004 issue before the mangas cancelation.

I met a user on Reddit who told me that they have vol 1 containing chapters 1-5, and the Shonen Ace from November 2004, that contains chapter 7.

They have told me their willing to scan what they have provided it doesn't destroy their book/magazine. After I suggested at least taking photos of the magazine panels they said they would look into it.

So what I'm getting at is does anyone have information on how appropriately scan manga while not damaging the media?

Somebody just posted a link on /a/ that seems to contain all chapters of the 2004 manga, including chapters 6 and 8. I believe this now marks the entire manga as found.

I'm going to attempt to translate this with a friend, we aren't fully fluent and it may take a while but we are going to try.
