As far as I can tell, I'm beginning to think we have reached a brick wall. Mollie Nelson (understandably and I think NO ONE should bother her) is not interested in sharing anything (that's even providing her tape hasn't degraded beyond viewing at this point), and the other leads (anon1974, Pat Dyer, and Sarah Boucher), are MIA or dead. Unless someone out there has another lead, I can't think of any other way to find more info/footage of Christine. As I've said before, I am highly interested in finding tapes of her Suncoast Digest show, but I doubt anything like that will happen anytime soon.
Don't fuck with DXers, we have the audio to back it up. I heard the John McCain "air pirate" tape a long time before it resurfaced because I was listening to recordings of Radio Hanoi.
I guess it wasn't EifelDX, I'm sorry for posting wrong info.
Sarah Boucher is a DXer herself and a contributor to the Shortwave Radio Audio Archive.
I guess what I would want to know if there is audio of her full broadcast (I think it was 8 minutes in total?) before she died. At this point, I have zero faith that the footage of her death will ever be found (and that's probably for the best).

I agree. I don't think any of these people should be bothered, though I feel those are the three people with the most info.
I honestly find it to be shameful on why Steve Newman won’t release the footage he has of Christine interviewing people, it just sounds like he’s being greedy, the interview footage doesn’t involve with her death as the interview happened a few years before she died.
I think Steve Newman is looking at it the wrong way, as he said in the documentary that people were only interested in Christine just because she died.
They probably shouldn’t have given the interview tape to him in the first place, Steve Newman isn’t one of Christine’s family members so there’s no honest reason why he should hide it like it’s one of his secrets.
Maybe some day in the future he might get rid of/sell the interview tape, but we just don’t know what else he’ll do with it.
If he’s not gonna release it just because he thinks we’re only researching her because she died, then why should he have the interview tape?
Maybe, and most likely, viewing any footage of Chubbuck before her death is deeply upsetting for Newman. I don't know if any of you have lost loved ones before, but it can take a very, very, very long time before you feel comfortable reliving memories of them, whether good or bad.
The fact that people are still trying to contact Chubbuck's next-of-kin and possible footage-havers is demented. Even if the original video feed has been archived, you shouldn't be looking for it simply out of human decency...lost media or not, it's real footage of a troubled person ending their life. Ask yourselves, what are you going to achieve from watching her take her life? If it's just for the thrill, you can easily look up similar footage online. Let her rest in peace already.

The thing is, what anon1974 is talking about in that post (and what I have said before myself), is the desire to see tapes of Christine doing what she loved: hosting Suncoast Digest. Not footage of her death.
The narrative ends with, "Have a pleasant morning!", followed by a triumphant fanfare. If only they knew what was gonna happen.. (provided this was from the same day's broadcast, of course)

Just to be clear to all, my post was an inquiry to anon who in the most recent few postings until I posted in September, said he had some WXLT footage, and I was asking about the footage he said he had. As far as I know, none of it had to do with anything NSFL. I’m only inquiring about any possible footage of Christine not having to do with her death and about possible sources for what HAS been released/found, and I am not going to contact anyone personally involved regarding any of this, nor should anyone else.

I haven't kept up with this thread in months, but if that's the case, I'd love to see more on this rather than stuff relating to her death. It would be very refreshing to see what's left of her line of work, if there's much, and let her legacy carry on with a more positive note.

Yeah, anon1974 claimed in a post a while back that they have other WXLT footage. They alluded to not having a medium to view them on (but did not elaborate) and that was the last I heard. If there are two things I get out of this thread, 1) I’d like the mystery of the origins of the alleged audio from her death to be solved…not to dox or bother anyone, just because I am genuinely curious 2) it’d be awesome to see some WXLT footage of their regular programming, especially with Christine in it. I’m still holding out hope anon1974 will come through on that footage the claim to have but it’s been more than 6 months since the claim was made. Time will tell I guess.
Hi everyone; I'm new here but have been lurking on and off for a while. I have a tumblr page dedicated to compiling what little information exists about Chris. There are some great resources on there and it's all in one place. I took the time to re-type the police report and article by Sally Quinn as well - the PDFs originally uploaded to the internet were difficult to read. I can't really explain why I have such an interest in this person/event, but it's definitely lived rent-free in my head since 2021.
I also want to note that I don't have any interest in finding or viewing the suicide tape. I think bothering Greg or family/friends of Chris about the tape is absolutely gross and immoral. I do, however, want to see footage of Chris doing her regular broadcast. I know that Steve Newman doesn't want to release his own footage of Chris, and though I disagree with his decision, I believe it isn't my place or anyone else's to bother him about releasing it. The proper thing to do is respect his decision. So I guess what I'm saying is that the lost media I'm actually interested in is Chris doing normal interviews/content on her show.

Welcome to the forum. However there is a new policy on this site that we no longer discuss NSLF media(anything involving footage of real people dying basically)and it's specifically because of an unfortunate situation that happened with some users on here harassing Chubbock's family trying to get footage of her, it was a very bad look for the lost media community as a whole and it's one we are not keen to repeat anytime soon(well most of us are not anyways, there's a select few users on here who unfortunately don't seem to comprehend the new rules very well and insist on pushing buttons)so I must politely ask you to not discuss this subject any further on these forums. Even if you aren't technically asking for the NSFL media itself it's still related to the topic by virtue of featuring someone who committed suicide on air, so that makes this whole subject really touchy for a lot of people and it's best to err on the side of caution and just avoid discussing anything related to Chubbock whatsoever as it's simply not worth the bad publicity it could potentially cast on these forums and the community as a whole. We've already had enough negative publicity over the past few years first with this and then the Wicked Witch episode of Sesame Street getting leaked online and this community being suspected of being the source of the leak(we're pretty sure it didn't come from anybody on this site, but just in case we're not allowed to post links to any uploads of that particular episode)that we really don't need anymore.
If you really want to discuss this subject i'd highly recommend you do this on a sub-reddit like r/DataHoarder as they are much more open to discussing this sort of thing and you'll be much more likely to find the answers you're looking for there anyways.
However if you have other non-NSFL-related lost media you'd like to discuss i'd be happy to hear about that.
I can understand you not knowing all this since you're new here, but in the future please do be more cautious with what you post about on here.
Honestly i'm shocked this thread hasn't been locked already, it really should be.
