Christine Chubbuck Tape

I agree totally. I don't want to sound judgemental, but it sounds like he's just wanting to take the moral high ground on this whole thing. Maybe it makes him feel morally upright. Idk. Unless he's being a holdout, I don't know why he would suddenly up and sell it. Same goes with Mollie Nelson. That being said, for both of them, I wonder what will become of the tapes once they both inevitably pass. Morbidly, the same goes for Greg. When Christine no longer has any surviving immediate family members, will something change? 

It seems to have come from a collection of a radio enthusiast who died shortly before the Christine Chubbuck tape was leaked. I knew the name of the person at the time it was leaked; I don't now. Taping audio off TV was actually incredibly common.

Also not sure if appropriate to post, but after listening to it I had a dream that Chubbuck asked me, "Was it everything you'd been hoping for?" I really hope that was my subconscious...

Okay so bear with me. Back when the audio first came out, everyone was clearly freaking out, including me. During some searching, I found an old blog (pretty sure it's posted somewhere in these 30+ forum pages. The blogger in question posted (I think in the early 2010s) about receiving a letter from a single mother in the LA area who lived in Sarasota in the 70s. In this period, she said she was interested in becoming a news anchor/reporter, so she would record audio of news broadcasts off her TV while she went out/went to class, so she could re-listen to them later. It just so happens she was recording audio from WXLT the day of Christine's death. She kept the audio ever since, and, being a single mother, was looking to sell it to support her family. The blogger reached out to verify this story, but never heard from her again.

I will now like to draw attention to another oddity. If you look up anon1974 on here, you will notice his profile picture being a logo from WXLT that dates back to the 70s. On YouTube (I will have to do some digging to find the channel), there is/was a YouTube channel run by a woman who would post sign-ons/sign offs from various news stations in the 70s/80s. One video, using the image anon1974 has, is of WXLT signing on. If I remember correctly, she even has it dated as being 1974, the year of the suicide. On the same video, anon1974, using the profile name altaliste, commented to the effect of "thank you so much for posting this." The channel liked that comment. I have ZERO hard evidence to corroborate any of this, but I wonder if the YouTube channel is run by the lady in the letter, and that is who sent the audio to anon1974. Please remember that this is just a theory, and that these people are just people who should not be bothered/harassed. From the discussions I had with anon1974 privately, he was very protective of his sources and methods (I honestly can't blame him). But this is just how I see things right now.
