Nickelodeon Australia (Major Programming Outage)

Anyone can copy and paste information from a Wikipedia page and a random Wikia page, even if the information is unsourced and is most likely incorrect or added by a vandal. I specifically remember one incident of vandalism on Wikipedia that lasted for five years was when a paragraph was inserted onto the introduction of an article on the Amelia Bedelia children's book series that the main character was inspired by a maid in Cameroon during a time where the original author of the series, Peggy Parish, spent during her time in North Africa (note that Parish never actually went to Africa once in her lifetime). Even though the information on the paragraph went unsourced during these five years it remained, it nonetheless fooled many websites as well as journalists repeatedly mention this "fact" as trivia about the series. The paragraph was eventually removed when one of the original authors of the hoax paragraph, E.J Dickson, admitted to Daily Dot on July 29th, 2014 that she had written that paragraph as a joke with a friend of hers while stoned.

The point is, don't take unsourced sentences and paragraphs from Wikipedia or any random Wikia page.

The original editor stated that the outage lasted 24 hours, before another user edited it down to just 10 hours, as seen here, three months later: en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nickelodeon_(Australia_and_New_Zealand)&direction=next&oldid=598608174

I'm not sure what to think.

Okay, 6:31 a.m. London time would have been 7:31 p.m. in New Zealand, or 5:31 p.m. in Sydney. So if the outage happened in the morning, it would have been nearly over or completely over by then.

However, that does not explain why the outage was originally reported to be 24 hours, only to be edited down to the time we know now three months later...

That is true, but there is still the problem of finding more documentation of the outage. So far, we have a photo, three Twitter posts, and maybe a government file.

Oh yeah, it did happen, but it's all just weird

I don't know if this is important but here is another tweet from Dec 22 2013 mentioning The Nick Shack and technical difficulties. 

Like viggers stated, contacting the individuals who made the tweets maybe our next step here. They all appear to still be currently tweeting. I don't know if viggers has contacted them or if Nickelodeon Australia responded, so we may have to hold off on this until viggers is able to give us an update.
