Possibly, but many other people seem to remember the Molly variant, so it's likely that it's not a myth. It could also explain the thousands of people who viewed this forum. There's no new information or images/videos at the moment, so I'm not even sure at this point. I also don't know who to contact, so we'll see if we can go further with this forum.
Then again, look how many people thought Sinbad's "Shazam" existed. Maybe we're in a parallel universe.
That's the Mandela effect in a nutshell. Remember how many people thought all of their books were spelled as "Berenstein Bears" instead of "Berenstain Bears"? I mean, funny enough, there was a VHS that did spell it as "Berenstein" on the end label.

Yes, I saw that. There was apparently a TV guide that listed it as Berenstein Bears back in the 80s.

I feel like it was always spelled as Berenstain, but there were prints that had Berenstein, so it was probably a typo or error.

Hey y'all, could this logo possibly have been on a DVD release? I didnt notice anyone bringing that up in this thread. Also were there any BCC episodes/specials that were direct to video? If so, it could be on one of them.
PS I barley remember this show, all I remember from it is the dust bunnies. I'm just interested in logos and mysteries lol.

Yes the show had a handful of VHS and DVD releases.

Yeah, but were they exclusively home media releases?

There is a possibility. In the opening to The Big Comfy Couch Forty Winks 2010 DVD on YouTube, it showed the Big Comfy Couch intro (starts with blue background with couch silhouette) that plasters the original intro for season 1 and 2. (original started with a purple background with the sun)
I always thought the DVDs only showed the newer seasons, but it looks like the old episodes are intact. We're not too sure about the closing logos because there's not really any closings to The Big Comfy Couch DVDs that were found on the internet.

I checked the closing to a Benny Smart VHS of The Big Comfy Couch on YouTube. The closing logo is just the Benny Smart logo, which plastered the Radical Sheep Productions logo. This means that we shouldn't really check the Benny Smart prints, since they seem to plaster the logos.
So if we were to check VHS prints, Time Life Kids prints would probably be the best option, since the releases are from the 90's and they don't plaster the logos. It would contain the original logos, and sometimes have the Time Life Kids logo at the end. I'll put a link down below to show proof that Time Life Kids prints are how I described them.
The next VHS prints to check are from Tadpole Kids. From the opening and closings, the uploaders usually have the ones with the 2000-2006 Radical Sheep Productions logo at the end. However, there is a VHS that someone uploaded, which does contain the old episodes, which is The Big Comfy Couch Time Out and Let's Try Sharing 2003 VHS. It has the 1992-2000 Radical Sheep Productions logo and Tadpole Kids logo. (proves that it's a Tadpole Kids print) Notice how there are two episodes? The first episode on the tape does not show the closing logos, as it goes straight to the next episode.
I'll put the video down below for proof. Strangely, they used the 2002 Big Comfy Couch intro, instead of what the original episodes from S1 - S5 usually have, which is interesting. So basically, if we were to check Tadpole kids prints, the second episode must be from S1 - S5, so that we can see the 1992-2000 Radical Sheep Productions logo instead of the 2000-2006 logo. I checked a Tadpole Kids print opening, (Know Your No-No's/1-2-3 Count With Me 2004 VHS) and it looks like they don't always have the 2002 intro.
Btw, the same uploader of the Tadpole Kids print, has another 2003 VHS, and it actually contains the Radical Sheep Productions closing logo at the end of the first episode and second episode. Very interesting, so not all prints from Tadpole Kids are the same. Some do keep the Radical Sheep Productions logo of the first episode, and some don't and go straight to the next episode.
Recorded tapes of The Big Comfy Couch off YTV (at its time) might be our best bet.
We're not 100% sure if it's just YTV though. I remember seeing a comment on YouTube regarding the Molly variant, and they recall seeing it on PBS Kids airings once or twice on TV. PBS Kids aired The Big Comfy Couch from Jan. 1995 to May 2009. Clearly, there's a chance that PBS Kids actually aired it too.
My memories of The Big Comfy Couch were only on Treehouse TV. My memories of The Big Comfy Couch range from late 2007/early 2008 - 2010; 2013-2014. All those late 2007/early 2008 memories of The Big Comfy Couch are quite blurry, so I am not going to rely on those. As far as I know, I don't remember seeing the Molly variant airing on TV or On Demand at all, so it may have stopped airing that rare variant then or I'm just unlucky lol. I vividly remember the logo combo, but nope, never saw Molly in the bottom right corner. I asked my older brother since he first watched The Big Comfy Couch in 2005/2006, and he doesn't remember it either.

A video was recently posted to YouTube by a user named Darius Johnson, titled “Radical Sheep Productions (Molly Variant) (1992-2002) (For Colleen Ford)”. I thought this was gonna link to the actual variant, but no, it’s the reconstruction version made by Gilby!
