I didn’t see a general thread for this when doing a quick search in this board so I figured I’d make one now.

A big new lead for TMMS was just uncovered, and we might be finding our song soon.
That lead? Hörfest ‘84.

In a nutshell, This was a thing played in September 1984 on NDR and other radio stations that showcased new artists.
Promotional material for this featuring band names participating was found and now this has become a big lead

That's because you're on the wrong board. It's right here, in the "Unidentified media" board, because it's not lost.

There's a couple other disparate threads, maybe they could be frankensteined together into one big thread but that sounds like a lot of work.

Really hoping this finally leads to a better outcome for the song, it’s crazy how many lostwave cases have been solved this year. Here’s hoping TMMS finally becomes one.

So, Hörfest is still a strong lead but the Uwe thing has been ruled out sadly, and the Senet-Rock… thing is also going a bit strong but a bit weaker with a new update from today.

But even bigger news, today, apparently a member of a band called The Care (~~who I assume is also connected to Hörfest iirc~~ not connected) said they allegedly were involved in the song.

i recently saw this in a WM video, didn't even know what it was,
but found it quite interesting that somebody had recorded a song on the German? radio
in the early 80s, which still has not been identified.

only to suddenly see this new info pop up in the same week,
that might lead to it finally being solved....
