What are the most common tropes and cliches you have seen in all kinds of media? I for one know that there are a lot of songs that either have the word baby in it or rhymes girl with world. I wonder if there's an official number of all the songs that have done this.
One I see in a lot of tokusatsu is having a woman try to sound tough by rolling her Rs. I don't know if this is just a Japanese thing or not, but I've only ever seen it in tokusatsu before. I dunno, that genre has a lot of strange tropes and cliches. Barely clothed woman being more powerful than end game monsters, monsters regardless of their motif breathe fire, darkness attacks are the strongest element, etc
I'm nothing but a mass of concrete yet my heart is calling my name
The whole "Liar Revealed" plot is really common as Nostalgia Critic pointed out.
I haven't watched Nostalgia Critic in years, but ever since he's pointed this out in Shark Tale, I can't get past it either. I think there is a way to do a liar revealed plot without mucking up the film, but it is annoying when I notice it.

I will say I thought Shark Tale did it in a pretty reasonable manner (as the film does not dwell on it too much), Chicken Run and Tigger Movie less so.
One trope i'm personally sick of seeing is the "person gets knocked out from behind" trope, bonus points if it's done using chloroform(Which does not work in real life how it does in the movies, in real life it would take 5 minutes of inhaling the stuff before it would knock you out)it's been so overrused, i've seen it in everything from Mystery Files of Shelby Woo to Dexter.
Also for horror films specifically i'm so tired of that cliched "the killer isn't dead after all" final shot, that trope has been overrused for decades now and i'm so over it.

I don't know if you watch TheRealJims or not, but he's a Simpsons reviewer and there was one season in particular where he pointed out that the chloroform knock out trope was in a lot of episodes.
Horror movies employ a lot of tropes I'm not fond of. In particular I'm tired of the fakeout scare (it wasn't the killer, just a stray cat!), and the over reliance on the music score to carry out the scare.

I'm not a fan of jump scares myself though I find those are most prevalent in crappy PG-13 horror films
At this point in entertainment, overused 4th wall jokes/references, along with constant "wink, wink, nudge, nudge AREN'T WE SO CLEVER" jokes. Overly snarky main characters on that note.

I think in recent years Movies have been putting in annoying side kicks who are kids that make me want to scream inside One of the various reasons why I don’t like the Megamind Sequel but that’s for another topic

Annoying sidekicks have kind of always been a thing in films, it was enough of a cliche that way back in the 90s Last Action Hero did a whole scene making fun of the concept:
