Does the screener version have any watermarks? I've been wanting to know this question for a long time.
Well, the movie looked really clear, good and crisp. Every so often during the movie, at the bottom a sentence would display saying something along the lines of "This screener is property of Dreamworks Animations, Inc." but it wasn't anything too big or distracting. I can get a picture if you're interested. Nice to meet you! It's so great to find others interested in this!
Might have found the bootleg we are looking for. link
If you guys want, I could buy it and see if it has the cut scenes.
link doesn't work edit: it's working now. it's pretty cheap I don't see why not, although based on some of the text I have a feeling it's Cantonese dub
Hello, could you please show us what you bought? We can no longer see it since it was bought. Did you watch it? I watched the FYC version I got from eBay, it is not the Gilbert and Sullivan version.

They never shipped it!? Ugh how disappointing. Yes, I have seen that one, but he told me it isn't in English. But I wonder if maybe there's a dub on it and he never checked. I don't know. I have been tempted to get it.

Maybe we could message the seller if it's the bootleg cut?

Hmm, that would have been a good idea. I just bought it, so I'll have to let you know. What I asked in a message was "Is there any English dub or spoken English on this DVD at all?" and his answer was "Hi, it is in Chinese and don't have English dub" - but who knows? I have to wonder if he actually has played it, looked in the menu, or where he even got it from! I will play it when I get it.
My other question I'd love to find out is this - so we know that Gilbert and Sullivan were in the Flushed Away video games. So, when was production for those games finished and released, versus when did they edit/take them out from the movie? This is why I continue to believe there is a finished version(s) of Flushed Away with them in it. There are finished games and a trailer, so this leads me to believe that there was a completed movie with them - then they thought it over and decided to take them out, and that's the movie we got?

I mean, there are still quite a few deleted scenes without them, and since it seems you saw a screener copy, I think there might still be some deleted scenes on there, so maybe it’s worth comparing to the theatrical cut just for good measure?

I'll be honest - the screener copy seemed to be exactly what the movie we saw is. Like any copy you'd buy at Target (example) would be what this screener was, with the exception of the copyright that came at the bottom off and on. There wasn't a DVD menu or any extras on the screener at all. It immediately played the movie, and hitting the menu button on my remote just brought up a red X. It's the movie solely with a screener warning every so often, no deleted scenes. I wish it came with more, in a way.

Award screeners are usually made a few months after the film's release. They are only made so the voters can see the film before they cast their votes. They rarely contain anything new, other kinds of screeners like theater screeners have more rare content.
