UPDATE: My friend found me a deeper Workprint trading community. I will try to gain a bit of a presents on there first, and then start asking around for this "Bootleg Cut". But we could also try to track down the original source of the claim for this "Bootleg Cut".

Good luck, your rank is not wrong when it says you are “seriously dedicated”.
Anybody want to message the director on LinkedIn? (Yes, I do have an account on there, but you have to pay to do so) LINK: shorturl.at/HSU35
The way you get around paying to send a message is you sent an invite request with a note attached to it. Make sure to do this on your computer because doing it on mobile is a lot more difficult.

I have indeed tried this method before. But I will try to do this.

It's virtually indifferent from a message, they're gonna get it either way. Now if they actually see it/want to respond? That's another matter. But they're both equally effective.

Still no reply from the director. Is this normal for somebody to view my profile and see my request but never respond? (I previously contacted the Director of Bee Movie, and he gave a fast reply) EDIT: I'm not impatient, just a bit concerned.

sometimes they see it and it means nothing to them or sometimes they see it and they don't understand why someone is reaching out. Another reason could be they just don't respond to anyone but official stuff or that they just extremely busy. Also there could be dozens of other reasons.
Hello, I got to say I joined this site just to talk to you and others on this thread. THANK YOU for asking this. I have been asking this same question around for years now via Reddit and Facebook. (Not me on that Reddit thread though) I can say that I did buy the linked DVD that is a FYC (For Your Consideration) copy someone linked on eBay. I watched it, and it is NOT the Gilbert and Sullivan version. I too have been kind of desperate to see this version, it would be extremely cool to find and watch. I've tried to find bootlegs too and such, I am sort of just afraid of buying the same DVDs of the movie over and over and NOT finding that version. But I love that everyone here is trying, and count me here with you!

Does the screener version have any watermarks? I've been wanting to know this question for a long time.

Well, the movie looked really clear, good and crisp. Every so often during the movie, at the bottom a sentence would display saying something along the lines of "This screener is property of Dreamworks Animations, Inc." but it wasn't anything too big or distracting. I can get a picture if you're interested. Nice to meet you! It's so great to find others interested in this!
