What are some things that annoy you? For me it's when they put food or liquid in a bag, jar, or any kind of container that's large enough to put in twice the amount of food or liquid that they do and when they put a small item in a box or some other kind of package that's a lot bigger than what it really needs to be.
Currently going through this, though it's a more (I want to say) personal thing.
So essentially I'm a contributing user to a wiki alongside two others, the first is a pretty decent guy as he creates articles and updates information as needed, overall nice guy.
The second however, is how do you say... a slippery little shit? By that I mean is that all he does is upload really low resolution screenshots and while that's not bad on its own it's the fact that he mass uploads these files and someone has to go through each individual file and update it with a higher resolution so you can actually see them. Additionally, he sometimes takes screenshots of each individual frame of exact same scene and it overall clutters articles and despite telling him not to do so he still does it.
Admins can't do anything because they aren't active and haven't been for months, so it's really only me and User A who have to deal with this. One time he changed the layout of an article for no reason and went as far as purposefully removing images uploaded by others and adding them back in as well as moving screenshots out of order.
For me something that's annoying is when people can see something with their own eyes, & still play mental gymnastics and say its fake. This has happened with Flat earthers when they do experiments, & say they simply did it wrong without retrying because they're in denial. There have also been times people are wrong about something, & when literally shown the evidence simply ignores it because they don't want to be wrong. It makes me really angry has to be my biggest pet peeve.
On a more benign level double-sided DVDs always annoyed me-they're a pain in the class to handle without smudging them and they're an even bigger pain to clean.

RIGHT!!! who came up with those?
Yeah there's no good reason to not just let you choose between fullscreen and widescreen from the main menu(which DVD releases in the mid-2000s eventually figured out)and you can easily do that with letting you pick films as well if there's multiple films on one disc(I.E. the Troll 1 and 2 DVD)it's especially annoying when the special features are on the other side of the disc(looking at you Wrong Turn).
There's also some other packaging stuff and other things about DVDs that annoy me which James Rolfe perfectly summed up here:
I HATE plastic waste so much, litteraly you can pacakage it with less plastic. I understand for foods, but those surprise toys (especially blind bags and those with toys) have so much plastic. Take the lol surprise as an example (witch i'm never going to buy and i saw this in an unboxing video) has 8 LAYERS of platic waste, like come on that is way too much unnecesary packaging. Also i hate when channels strech their stuff that were originally 4:3 into 16:9. It just looks streched most of the times.
Any long periods of wasted time that isn't me relaxing in bed at home. Like waiting 2 hours at a diner for a hangout/date that never showed and doesn't even get back to me until days later. Gives me like a very weird gnawing sensation and anxious feeling almost, especially when the waitress keeps coming around to "check on me." And I'm angry on top of everything.

Yes! I think that is known as confirmation bias, where someone has a view on something and will search for information and facts that only backup/agree on their views on a subject and can't see or won't believe the bigger picture, even if what they believe is too one sided and might not be true or only partly true. I have seen this happen too often when the subjects of vaccinations and climate change/global warming come up. If you try to respond to those people, they just either laugh at you and or still try to claim they are right and refuse to even look at your side of the argument or even try to disprove what you said.
Things that annoy me besides that:
1. TV channels that show episodes of The Simpsons and if its not an HD Simpsons episode from Season 20 onward, instead of showing the episode in the original format, will instead crop into the centre of it so the sides, top and bottom are cut of to make it "full screen". Basically all 3 or so UK TV channels that show episodes of the Simpsons do this. I can't watch old episodes like that. Leave them as they were. They don't stretch or crop into other 4:3 format TV shows they show, so why should they with The Simpsons?
2. When I am using Instagram and for nothing I have done that I know of, I get a temporary ban from using feature(s) for a reason it says I did that violates their terms of use, which I have not done. For a while last year it kept telling me there was suspicious activity on my account or that I was spamming likes or something and I got temporary banned from using features for 2 weeks, twice. None of which they said I did, I was doing, nor did anyone else get onto my account. It is even difficult to dispute any claims and the issues resolved. Thankfully I have had no issues for months, so I hope it never happens again.
3. Modern songs that have some of the following: Too much noticeable autotune, too much crushed dynamic range so the backing track is too loud/distorted (especially over loud drums). Also clicks/claps for a drumbeat instead of proper drum sounds.
4. Google search often not showing me the results I want or excluding terms I put in quotes to make sure they are included in the results. One issue that annoys me is trying to search for someone's name on Google. I study genealogy and often have to research people's names from hundreds of years ago and I like to see if there are any websites that mention the person, besides the sites I have used. If I have the persons first, middle and surname, when I type that into Google, I will put the whole name in quotes and that whole term should be included in the results. However, more often than not, the results will still exclude one word from inside the quotes.
For example, I am search for a person named say "William Harvey Moore" who might have lived in the 1500s. I type that name in quotes into Google search and it will say no results and automatically excludes Moore from my search results and only give me results for "William Harvey" and I can't seem to get results for the full name even though I know somewhere online there might be info on the person I am looking for.
This is not in any particular order. Prepare for 50 things.
1. When entertainment companies choose to not introduce new shows/ideas and sequels that would be great if they released (whether if the reason for greatness being lack of new content, nostalgia, etc.) in order to continue to make episodes of a series.
2. When great ideas get scrapped (yes I am mad at Zaslav for his deeds and yes I am an animation fan)
3. When you have the solution of a question or problem and have practiced how to solve it and when you actually need to use the knowledge, your mind blanks or you just forget it until you relearn it or it comes back a long time after the fact
4. People when they believe in lies that can be easily debunked with ease and still stick to it despite it being the truth being within the flip of a page, the click of buttons & mice, the eyesight of a human, or the answer of another being. My annoyance increases when they get agitated. My annoyance would peak if they would then insult me for "not seeing the truth."
5. Socks when they have a hole
6. When the urge of peeing wakes you up, messing up your sleep (I am a night owl) and messes up your dream
7. When you get to a part of a game that you've been stuck on (and are about to complete) or requires absolute focus and you get interrupted and lose
8. When somebody refuses to listen to reason
9. Mosquitoes, flies, moths, and occasionally ladybugs (depending on how I felt that day)
10. Being bothered while in a quiet space
11. Classmates who are just obnoxiously loud
12. When people think they are above others just because they have something that the others don't have
13. When you try to do something that is known to calm you down (in my case drawing) and it does not work and makes you farther from calming down
14. When somebody messes their lives up and refuses to try and fix it
15. When people don't clean their crap up
16. Edgenuity
17. Late night EAS alarms (only the tests)
18. Tiktokers, Redditors, 4 Channers, OF stars, and some other social media groups. Note that not all of the members of these groups are bad, but a decent portion are
19. Big corporations doing dumb things in an attempt to gain a bunch of money in a short period of time
20. The fact that if time travel existed or will be made in my lifetime, I could not use it to make my past better due to the rules of time
21. Anime characters who are just like Draco Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle (Example: Zepes from "The Misfit of Demon King Academy")
22. The fact that we could have advanced as society with way more ease if things such as greed, power, and jealousy did not take over the minds of the people who explored Earth.
23. Words like Skibidi, Ohio (when it is mentioned to make an "Only in Ohio" meme), sigma, beta, etc.
24. People who don't mind their business (way more annoying when it is somebody who you don't know or just met)
25. Kids who yell all the time for absolutely no reason (I know this is just in child nature but it is still annoying)
26. Overpowered items in videogames that get buffed
27. When the space that I spend the most time in is messy
28. Characters who have a promising future in their respective media, but have it abandoned and forgotten by the next cannon level
29. Disney Star Wars lore and lightsabers
30. Sonic Adventure 2 controls (WHO MAPS BOUNCE AND LIGHTSPEED DASH TO THE SAME BUTTON AND DOES NOT ALLOW CUSTOM CONFIGURATION!?)
31. When the truth of an event is hidden in order to paint a picture or simplify history (which sometimes is a bad thing)
32. When there is an easier way to solve something without any negative effects, but people decide not to take it
33. People who get mad when you don't get their gender pronouns right when you first meet them. It is not my fault that I can't tell that your pronouns are xxx/xxx when I JUST MET YOU 2 MINUTES AGO.
34. People who would not decide to associate with you, despite you both getting along very well, due to random events + zodiac signs. There is probably somebody on Earth who will refuse to associate with you because the wind blew a used napkin to their left.
35. Shippers who make random ships that would never even have a chance of happening (ex: SonAmy would be a ship that could happen in the AND is backed up by official sources, but then we have ships that put a kid with their biggest bully, who tormented them for their entire childhood.
36. People who make brainrot on purpose (if you make it on accident then you are fine, unless you then continue to make it with knowledge of what you're doing now)
37. When people drag out situations
38. When I do something stupid
39. Popcorn kernel shells. They get stuck either in your gums or your deep in your throat where you can't reach
40. People who leave in games the second they die, when the spawn, or when they lose their weapon
41. People who blame everybody but themselves for a mistake they made
42. The urge to go back to sleep in the morning
43. Scammers
44. Clickbait
45. Ads
46. Getting stumped when looking for lost media
47. Attention-seekers
48. Math
49. My past actions
50. Getting my hands dirty
There are so many more things I could list.

A couple of things: 1. When people don't organize their game/movie/DVD/VHS/Bluray collections 2. N64 graphics detractors who think the N64's graphics were because of technical limitations of the hardware bogging down games from looking really good even though Nintendo had enough time to learn what NOT to do because of the Atari Jaguar 3. Tom And Jerry "starring" in an "all new original movie" 4. When my limbs go into a vibration mode for no reason 5. dumb weaboos 6. People think that the Atari 2600 is not capable of good graphics nor good music. 7. MOST platformers with no mid-air controls(a couple I do like, such as Donkey Kong, DK Jr., Magical Tree, Octolris, Blinky 3 & Pitfall! 2600) 8. People who see animation as a genre only for kids 9. People who scream "WOKE" at something not white & hetero(a lot of works can suck, but this is usually not a reason for it) 10. People who think they're very smart because they know of so many obscure pieces of media; I myself know a lot, from video games to TV shows to movies, but I don't consider myself "smart" since my memory tends to be crap & my speaking/writing skills suck. 11. Immature Go!Animate kids 12. The UTTP & AUTTP 13. Stickers or really anything that's sticky 14. People who don't bathe & smell like a bunch of warthogs that just came out of a cave filled with mud & worms 15. Rain... sort of. I don't like getting wet by rain's water in comparison to say, hot shower water, but it's typically not extreme enough to cancel a school day 16. People who say that a dub's theme song being different automatically means its awful compared to the original & to that I say ITALIANTHEMESONGSALLTHEFREAKIN' WAY(special shoutouts go to the Latin American Spanish theme to Filmation's Sport Billy & of course, ZAG DAS ZAUBERWORT) 17. Games whose control schemes are unnatural for no reason what-so-ever or are unresponsive... or controls that are too responsive, which can especially be a problem in racing games where you're going too fast. 18. Grossout "humor"; this is why I consider the original Ren And Stimpy to be a mixed bag for me & generally a show I don't like all that much. 19. Trends these days; even most trends from 2014-2016 I hated, such as fidget spinners, flipping water bottles, Takis(I prefer Cheetos any day of the week), that real stupid whip & nae nae as well as the awful song that accompanied it. 20. Trap music. I myself am already not a big fan of rap, but I do see the appeal of it(personally I am a much bigger fan of rock 'n' roll), but I don't get trap music. Some say it has that "electronic" appeal like what Fireflies by Owl City had, but like... no. They ESPECIALLY can't be compared to 2000s Italian theme songs nor techno awesomeness. Trap generally sounds lazy to me. 21. People who don't mentally grow up. I was an immature little brat back then, but at least I'm more mature now... well, not TRULY mature, but still. 22. "DiD yOu KnOw ThAt SuPeR MaRiO bRoS. 2 wAs OrIgInAlLy A gAmE cAlLeD dOkI dOkI pAnIc?" 23. People who hate Weird Al or Mister Rogers for no reason(especially the latter) 24. People who think the GEMS Sound Driver can't make good music: Toy Story (Food And Drink), Action 52 (Darksyne Odd Levels), Virtual Bart (Title screen; I realized that Cirrus Retro had some whose individual tracks weren't uploaded onto YouTube), NFL Sports Talk Football '93 (Title screen; and vice versa for tracks I could find on YouTube but not Cirrus Retro), A Dinosaur's Tale (At the Docks), Kid Chameleon (Pyramid levels), Ecco: The Tides of Time (Tube of Medusa), NFL Quarterback Club '96 (Practice/Pause custom theme), Boxing Legends of the Ring (Undiscovered Champion), the unreleased Astropede (main theme), Championship Pool (title screen), Dark Castle (music made with an early version of GEMS apparently; the port itself sucks though lol), etc.
Dreams are boundless, imaginations are infinite, space is a multi-directional spiral & Akazukin ChaCha is my favorite anime
I felt like 3 years ago, we had the “OK Boomer” meme to make fun of older generational hysteria of criticizing younger ones.
Yet, I feel like online discourse recently has been millennials and some zoomers almost parroting what boomers said about them but targeted at gen Alpha.
I just wish instead of just whining about “kids these days…” my generation was more proactive. Like if kids can’t read, why not find a way to help.

Yeah kids are still raised by...parents of a prior generation? Last I checked? And widespread studies show that beyond socioeconomics, parents influence kids' worldviews, behavior, attitudes, etc. more than anything else in their lives (more equal peer influence doesn't crop up until the teen years, which is natural).
If the kids aren't fine, there's a decent chance the parents aren't/weren't fine either. And of course every generation has screeched that the next generation will be the death of them all, and yet here we are.
