There was someone that said that anything that was popular 40 years ago will become popular again 40 years later. So what old items and things that were popular 40 years ago do you think will become popular again in out modern time. Right now it's 2024, so I can expect whatever was popular back in 1984 to make a comeback this year.
Meaning there is the possibility of a cable comeback.
Did we just pull βNo go back!,I want to be Monke!β
cable is very much not coming back
streaming might contract a bit and some of these smaller services might go under or get merged with the bigger platforms, but literally no one who's cut the cord is going to go back to cable or satellite

I meant in a hypothetical way.
But I see your logic.
Also I meant stuff like Sling which to me is synonymous with cable.
I saw a bunch of fanart for the 1977 film, definitely feels like a new cult classic. Plus she is also sort of a mix between cottage-core and clown-core.

Yeah lately I've noticed multiple (clearly) young Youtubers (18-24 or so) making tons of detailed videos on Youtube centered around Strawberry Shortcake, Hollie Hobbie, Rainbow Brite, etc. Far too young to have seen the OG versions as kids, assuming that they didn't watch them on VHS/DVD or TV reruns. They don't just do the remakes/reboots, but the actual original series, and many of them seem to enjoy the OG versions, or at least the aesthetics of said versions.

I saw one fairly young V-tuber doing a great series of videos about KISS and Music From the Elder and that guy really did his research, it's great to see younger generations appreciating that kind of music compared to most of the forgettable crap that's on radio these days.
