The Land Before Time. Don Bluth tried to reason with Spielberg to keep some of the then-would-be cut scenes in the film and a couple other scenes, but Spielberg didn’t budge and the film was cut down from its original 82-minute runtime to 75 minutes by the time a copy of this cut was handed to James Horner for scoring, but after that, Spielberg decided to further edit the film, including changing the original ending.
While Bluth doesn’t seem to outright hate the theatrical cut, it was clearly not the cut of the film he wanted to release, and he seems pretty hopeless on the idea of the deleted scenes ever resurfacing, believing that “they were swept up from the cutting room floor and dumped right into the trash. They’ve long been destroyed.”
Damn that's really unfortunate if true, wonder why Spielberg was so edit-happy with that film? Was he really that afraid kids wouldn't be able to handle it? Seems kinda hypocritical considering the disturbing stuff kids watching the Indiana Jones movies were exposed to.

No idea. What’s sadder is that they weren’t even found for the films 35th anniversary last year. I think this may just be a true case of “missing episode” in film. Maybe some of the post-production cuts (after the film was scored) may still exist (regardless of its condition), but others like the Extended sharptooth attack and Oasis scene probably didn’t survive, and if they did, they exist on their own, probably completely unusable by now. (I doubt any workprints assembled before the film was scored still exist.)

Not Only... But Also. Like many BBC shows of the 1960s and 1970s, this sketch comedy series was mostly wiped by the BBC. One of the creators, Peter Cook, offered to purchase new tapes for the corporation so that his show's recordings could be preserved. The BBC rejected the deal, meaning only eight of 22 episodes are now publicly available.
Monty Python's Flying Circus almost suffered the same fate. Quick thinking by Terry Jones and other crew members made sure that VHS copies of the master tapes were established. Imagine a world where all of Monty Python no longer existed!

I just started watching skits from the latter & I found it awesome & funny! So glad knowing they managed to preserve as much as they could.
Dreams are boundless, imaginations are infinite, space is a multi-directional spiral & Akazukin ChaCha is my favorite anime
The 60s cartoon the beagles a spoof of the beetles. Creators' wife got ticked at him from the old myth and burned all the shows negatives. Only a few episodes from private collectors have been found. It's a lost show. There are a few episode parts on YouTube.

Sounds similar to what happened with the Commodore 64 port of the video game Parasol Stars. The lead developers wife destroyed his computer and all of the backups of the game in a drunken rage, forcing that version to be scrapped(the lead dev did ask for an extension so he could finish the port but Ocean declined, likely cause the C64 was on it's last legs by that point anyways so they probably didn't see much point in spending any more money on what would've been an inferior port that few people would've bought).
Another one I can think of is Cr1TiKaL's lost YouTube videos. Even though he is the one who deleted the videos he regrets doing it and wants them back. Don't know if that really counts though.
The directors of the Batgirl movie were against the deletion and shelving of it, and tried to get footage of the movie for themselves (but were unable to access it).
I am desperately hoping that someday on some random Tuesday. The entirety of the movie gets leaked online so it’s no longer lost media, but I’m just huffing copium

Same here, hoping it and Holiday Haunt get leaked one day.
Here's another comic strip-based TV series that went lost against the creator's wishes.
Nickelodeon's planned Phoebe and Her Unicorn series became a recent subject of lost media as the network dropped the series after so much corporate meddling due to the fact that Nick wanted to push the series for a male audience, as they wanted Max, a side character, as the main character, rather than Phoebe and Marigold. Dana Simpson wanted her own franchise to expand into new heights, but Nickelodeon shelved the series because "girl shows" are out the door. The gigaleak didn't do justice, so either Nickelodeon deleted the series from existence or it's in another flash drive somewhere.

I can see it being the latter possibility, but unfortunately there's also a chance of it being the former possibility.

Well, the place the film is stored in is probably an area the average WB employee wouldn’t have access to, so… it’s not impossible, but it probably won’t happen for a long time, like 10-15 years. If there was any chance for the movie to get leaked, it was as soon as they made the decision to cancel it, so they could have had a good 15-45 minutes to download the entire workprint of the film as it was, and then put it up on like, YouTube or something before WB Discovery removed the film from local servers, preventing them from doing any further work on the movie.
But alas, by the time the news got to the films Directors, it was already too late, the movie was taken out. And here we are today.

I don't think they deleted the entire thing from existence, I think it was probably stored elsewhere.
I should also mention Scoob! Holiday Haunt and Coyote VS. Acme. Hell, Eric Bauza, who did voice work on the latter, actively campaigns for Coyote VS Acme’s release.
(I hope Holoday Haunt gets leaked especially, I would have loved to see Mark Hamill as Santa Claus.)
As for Coyote VS Acme, luckily for the film crew and cast, there’s a pretty big chance of this movie getting found… remember when news broke in February that the film was once again considered for being shelved and they turned down all bidding offers? Well story goes, Warner Bros Discovery made the fatal mistake of forgetting the copies they brought with them for the screenings, and as a result, the film has gotten way outside of just WB’s hands, with multiple people out there having full, non-watermarked copies of the final cut of the film, waiting to leak it should it’s definitive shelving be announced.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the film is already circulating in like, private workprint trading circles and whatnot.
